When I can't pick a game, I come here.

I have this problem every time I beat a game. I have so many to choose from that I need to play, across a variety of genres. Last time I really needed help, I came here and asked folks to pick a genre, and that was what I limited my choices to. So when I was told point-and-click adventure, I sat down and played through Lure of the Temptress.

It looks like people here are pushing for the Mega Drive, so go with that, but then ask about what genre to go with to further narrow things down. Also, do you have a backloggery page? There is a ZeroAX page, but there is only one game on it. I use the website all the time and focus only on what I've never beaten...keeps me from going back and just replaying the same games over and over again. Here's mine:

It says I'm currently not playing anything, but that's a lie. I've just been really bad about cataloging lately. I'm currently playing through Deus Ex...

When I can't decide, I usually wind up doing something unrelated to games instead, then when I have a better idea what I'd like to play I come back and play the thing. =)

Unfortunately when I can't decide what to play I always seem to fall back on either TF2 or Black Ops 2 (Previously CoD4). So far I've wasted hundreds of hours in those games, and could have easily beaten a few big RPG's in the time I've spent playing them.

*sigh* I'm not a very good person to answer your question, sorry. :?

RFGeneration actually has a "random game" button which will pull up a random game from your collection. It's useful sometimes.

I find it sometimes helps to kinda plan a bunch of games out in advance and just shoot through them.

Yeah I need to fill that up at some point. That or the RG generation page (which has a blog I haven't posted on for 2 years  )

Well here's the list of my Mega Drive backlog (unbeaten games I own):

Aladdin
Castle of Illusion Starting Mickey Mouse
Earthworm Jim
Rolling Thunder
Flashback

I have barely played Castle of Illusion and Flashback, and Alladin and Earthworm Jim I got really close to beating only to fail.

Not a lot of variety, but then platformers are my thing and those are some of the greatest platformers of all time if you ask me :D.

Haha, no problem. You like what you like.

Play Castle of Illusion first. The 16-bit era of Mickey Mouse games included some enjoyable classics that are relatively simple to play. Most of my experience is with the SNES side, of course, but I'd love to hear what you have to say about the Mega Drive game.

Haha, ok. I guess Mega Drive it is. Well, at least I will be able to finish all the games in a short time, and then focus on some RPGs on the SNES (or PS2, which I did not include in the poll cause all I have for it are RPGs)

Hey, they're short! Here, check this out. It's a longplay of the game. Watch the first few minutes to get an idea and then go for it:
