I guess the streak of none of the Die Hard sequels being anywhere near as good as the original continues...

Live Free at least gave us a movie where Bruce seemed like he "could be" John McClane. Good Day is a good action movie, just not a good Die Hard movie.AppleQueso wrote:I guess the streak of none of the Die Hard sequels being anywhere near as good as the original continues...
I really do want a Die Hard 6, but by a different creative team. Let's have a conclusion to the series where we don't expect John to blast everything to pieces and has the ability to dodge a hail storm of bullets. Make McClane a normal Joe again. A Die Hard that doesn't rely on old cliche's and over the top helicopter crashes.
Something with a decent story, a villain you hate as soon as he is on screen, and maybe McClane sacrificing his own life for his daughter Holly. Something other than just mindless action. And I love mindless action, just as long as that's not all there is to the movie.

With a Vengeance was better than the original.AppleQueso wrote:I guess the streak of none of the Die Hard sequels being anywhere near as good as the original continues...

Alan Rickman as Ronald Reagan? I can't picture it.

You're just now hearing about this Luke? I heard folks making a stink about this just as soon as Jane Fonda was named to play Nancy Reagan. Eh, I'll avoid it unless I hear its worth watching.

I kinda like that one (Sam Jackson is always fun to watch), but better than the original? Oh hell naw.MrPopo wrote:With a Vengeance was better than the original.AppleQueso wrote:I guess the streak of none of the Die Hard sequels being anywhere near as good as the original continues...

Nah. The casting has changed several times and I got tired of keeping up with it as Hollywood politics frustrate me and I don't have any interest in the movie.Ack wrote:You're just now hearing about this Luke?
Mila Kunis was set to play Jackie O., and all sorts of other A-listers bowed out of the film, which isn't a good sign.
That, and apparently the Carter administration didn't do much.
