Re: The Wrestling Thread
I'm not sure if you're allowed to share links here but does any one know where I can download old ECW episodes? I've got some ECW compilations by WWE on DVD and some pre-WWE ECW DVDs from PPVs, but I'd like to get the whole oldschool ECW in its entirety on my external HD, all episodes and PPVs.
I found a link on some Russian forum that had WCW, WWF, WWE and ECW years but only few of the torrents were up. I managed to download 1993 (April-December) and 1995 WCW but all the other ECW torrents were offline.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
So how many other guys besides me knew nothing about Bruno Sammartino? I'm thirty three, so maybe he's before my time because I've been shocked by what a big deal everyone from wrestlers to podcasters to fans have been making about this. You'd think the man was god himself. I will need to do some homework and learn a little bit more about the guy's career. Hall of Famers like HBK are almost making it sound like they're not even in his league.
On another note, I heard the thing about Bret dissing Triple H being talked about on some podcasts I listen to, and I'm not alone in agreeing with Bret's statements. I like that the Hitman has the balls to come out and say stuff like that. To Hunter's credit though, he is receiving a ton of praise for getting Bruno into the Hall of Fame. I almost feel like Hunter may actually end up getting even more respect as the guy running WWE in a few short years than he got as a wrestler. He seems to be pushing for some good changes, including bringing lots of guys up like The Shield for example.

I like what HHH has done and getting Bruno is big. He's had some missteps too like Sin Cara and then the tag team revival which is now completely gone. He tried though

Re: The Wrestling Thread
I think the Tag Team scene would be better and more competitive if they would break the titles up again and have 2 separate. People want to see tag teams, they just dont want to see boring ones likes Rhodes Scholars. I mean we need teams like the Dudleys and The Rockers, I know they cannot be replaced but they can be matched. Even after a few weeks I became tired of Team Hell No. I just really cannot wait until they drop The Shield, they bring nothing special to the story and they are borinig, overall just a waste of time.retrosportsgamer wrote:I like what HHH has done and getting Bruno is big. Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping!

Re: The Wrestling Thread
I'm gonna have to disagree with you. Team Hell No are very popular with the crowds and is one the most brilliant pairings the WWE has done in a long time. There's a reason why the WWE has kept this team going as long as it has. It's good business. And Rhodes Scholars were a brilliant heel tag team that the audience was into as well. All you had to do was listen to those "Cody's mustache" chants. I'm actually a bit disappointed that they broke up Rhodes Scholars, but the fact that they did it just indicative of the state of the tag division. Team Hell No probably will break up soon, as WWE creative seem to be planting the seeds of a Daniel Bryan heel turn. Once that happens, the tag division will officially be dead again. There's been rumors that they are breaking up the Prime Time Players as well. That's three of their best teams right there getting broken up.TheSegaSaturnGuy wrote:I think the Tag Team scene would be better and more competitive if they would break the titles up again and have 2 separate. The Shield would be horrible in the tag division right now. Frankly, they're above the tag team division. They're too busy messing with the big dogs in the yard i.e. main eventers.

I agree on Team Hell No. They just annoy me. And it's frustrating to see Daniel Bryan so misused, when he has so much talent. And yes, the Rhodes Scholars are boring.TheSegaSaturnGuy wrote:I think the Tag Team scene would be better and more competitive if they would break the titles up again and have 2 separate. I don't agree on Shield, though. I love it whenever things become chaotic in wrestling, because then things become more unpredictable, which I like. And The Shield is one of those chaotic factors that brings unpredictability to the table. So I'm a fan. But it's pretty obvious that they represent the opinion of a lot of the internet wrestling community.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
The problem with that feud was they never pulled the trigger on Rhodes Scholars despite winning #1 contender matches like three times. They would job out Daniel Bryan in every other match but not to those guys for some reason. They needed the belts.
