What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

I don't think I've taken mine off more than once or twice a year or so (if that) in a decade, and then only for less than a minute or so to clean it or if I go swimming (which I rarely ever do).

On my honeymoon my ring slipped off in the hotel pool and I had to spend some time diving to find it.

So yeah, I have the same attachment to it. I hope you find it, Stark.

Did they not give you a phone number to call them? Fucking bands, always late to the wedding.

I have a habit of taking mine off and flipping it like Two Face flips a coin (but six to ten feet in the air. Hey, I like the sound it makes).

This joke was inevitable.

Thanks for the good wishes guys. Yeah I never take mine off either and the only thing I can think of is I was doing some construction work (pulling wires) and maybe it came off doing that? I hope not, that means it is in a wall somewhere .... :?

This made me laugh, thanks! :)

I'm sure it will turn up somewhere Stark. In a pants pocket, sitting on a keyboard, by the sink. Somewhere.

Someone doesn't work with power tools or on cars? Metal jewelry and loops should be removed when working with things that can snag them and remove body parts.

I probably SHOULD take it off when I work on/with these things and I do on occasion, but more often than not I tend to forget. That said, the ring isn't near as loose as it was back on the honeymoon, so the odds of it snagging something are slim.

Have you seen these soft hands? I only play video games and eat caviar.

In that case, your thumbs should at least have calluses!

I do hope that you find your wedding band. The interior of mine is engraved with a message from my wife, and I know that I would be very broken up if I lost it.

I wear my band on my right hand (kinda have to), which has led to some interesting discussions as it's a sign of being a widower.

While we're on the subject of wedding rings/bands, I have a friend who is a jeweler who was able to get platinum bands on the cheap. Saved a couple hundred by looking through a standard jewelry catalog. It was the least rip-off option available.
