Truth.
No facebook, twitter, cell phone, cable or satellite. No need for 'em for me, but to each his own.
How can you not have a cell phone? Don't you live in the middle of nowhere basically? What if your car breaks down and you have to walk? Get a flare gun at the very least dude.
I thought you were a sports fan...do you get all the sports you need via antenna?
I had DirecTV up until 3 years ago, and yeah, was a HUGE fan of football, had the ticket and multiple TV's setup on Sundays. Took Thurs/Fri off work for March Madness up until a couple years ago, but like a lightswitch, the passion for it was gone. About 2-3 years prior to that, my interest in baseball and basketball had started to significantly wane too. I follow the Bears and watch their games when on standard TV, but that's it. No ESPN, etc. Don't check any websites. Many reasons why, i'm sure, but nothing specific.
Anyone else really enjoy opening up old sealed games?
And before anybody busts my chops, no I don't do it to tweak people who like to buy sealed. I'm not even talking expensive stuff here to be honest. (Granted I did just open up a sealed, expensive game the other day, but I want to play it and I intend to keep it forever)
I just get a weird pleasure from cracking open a game that's been sealed all these years, and knowing that I'm the first to play this old but brand new game. Pristine cart/disc, case and artwork, crisp manual. It feels good. Don't know why.
I bought a sealed copy of NHL 94 for Sega Cd ($14), and it arrived today. Still has the little hang tab on the back, which was folded down, unused.
That's my smile for today. Gonna open that up and play it.
