Um, Requiem for a Dream?
Ever notice 99% of snarky comments on this forum start out with "Um"? It's literally epic.

In Requiem he gives a good performance, but not so memorable that it didn't immediately jump into my mind when thinking of his acting career. I thought "Menace, Scary Movie(s), White Chicks, Lil' Man...". Requiem was killer when it was released and thought that the director was a visionary and the story addressed a serious issue, but it's become a cliche' of itself. I'd recommend it to people who haven't seen it, but for me it's a chore to watch after seeing it a few times.

I know what you mean. It's an excellent film, but I had a hard time sitting through it the first time because of how depressing it is and I haven't tried sitting through it a second time. Million Dollar Baby is another one like that.

I came for the strung out Jennifer Connelly, but I stayed for the ... wait, no, I'm not staying.

You had to wait a while to get to that part, but when you did...

You watch it more than once and it becomes silly.

I wasn't trying to be snarky, just bringing up that he wasn't just doing 'weed humor' and was being more than a 'one trick pony' in that film.

It should be required viewing in health class to show kids how fucked up your life can become because of drugs.

Rewatched House (aka Hausu).

I've also abandoned my resolution to watch a new movie at least once a day (on average), because soon it just became a chore and I felt as though I was just watching movies to meet some quota and not as a means of enjoyment.

RE: Marlon Wayans/Acting

I saw Requiem. I like Darren Arronofsky and I did not like the film. I got the message loud and clear, but they put that song riff in there WAY too many times and it was like OK WE GET IT THEY'RE GETTING HIGH.

ta ta tata (INHALE) ta ta tata! (exhale inhale, roll doobie) ta ta tata (fart) ta ta tata ta ta tata (INHALE) ta ta tata! (exhale inhale, roll doobie) ta ta tata (fart) ta ta tata ta ta tata (INHALE) ta ta tata! (exhale inhale, roll doobie) ta ta tata (fart) ta ta tata

It just kinda soured the movie to me.

College health class? Kids can go through their lives without seeing double dildo action.
