Michigan Racketboy Member Meet-up! Choose your Destiny! 3/23

Fellow Racketboy Members,

If you are an inhabitant of the fantastic state of Michigan, or are passing through the Greater Detroit area, BogusMeatFactory and I would like to ask you a few questions. Do you like awesome arcade games? Hanging out with people that share your interests? Perhaps racing BogusMeatFactory and I at Daytona USA and other arcade greats? If so, then this event is for you!

March 23rd is our date by indication of the thread's poll! We'd love to see you here!
Given the span of the state of Michigan, driving from the farthest reaches of the state can take upwards of 7 hours to get to Detroit, and we'd like to make anyone's trip worth the while by having this take place over the course of a weekend.

Pinball Pete's offers a great selection of pinball machines, classic and recent arcade cabinets. There is enough variety where someone will at least find something they enjoy. Oh, and it has several Daytona USA 2 and Daytona USA machines linked up for competitive racing action!

We can swing this however you would like. Dinner before? Okay. Dinner after? Sure, we can do that too. Wanting to do your own thing? Yeah we won't cramp your style. We'd just like to organize our fellow gamers and build a more cohesive community.

This thread will serve as an ongoing coordination of the event.

My vote goes for any day to any locale. All I have to say in defense for Marvin's is. "Simpson's Arcade Cabinet."

I am super stoked about this. All I hear from us Michiganders is, "We need to have a meet up," Now is our chance to rally in large numbers! LET'S DO THIS!!!!

I'm from Livonia. Not sure what my work schedule looks like but I could be down for this.

Marvin's rules. Saw Keith Apicary there even. Never been to Pinball Pete's.

I'd love to come, but the earliest I could be there is when summer break starts on April 30th, as I live on the polar opposite end of the state.

Isn't it? Other than providing you their location, it doesn't do much else. :-\ I'd vouch for it though, there's a pretty good mix of everything. One way or another I wouldn't mind going to Marvelous Marvin's.

Lisalover, I'll update the poll. I know you and Gooseberrysoda are in the UP, so I'll see what we can do. Who knows, if the first is really successful, I'd be down for another meet-up in the summer!

I'd be up for this, and I think any of those dates would work.

I used to spend a lot of time at Pinball Pete's, but it's probably been 5 years since I've been there, so I can't vouch it nowadays. For what it's worth there is one in Lansing as well, but I remember it being smaller than the Ann Arbor location.
