Best way to resurrect a gamecube game?

Post by skere26 »

I managed to pick up Mario sunshine and Pikman 2 from gamestop this weekend...of course neither will play. One will get to the warning screen and then crash while the other is never recognized.

Pikman 2 looks like its been resurfaced before...

Give me your best ideas folks..even if that means mini frisbees...

If the inner circle is cracked, they are usually shot, but could try getting them re-surfaced again?

If you decide to get them resurfaced again, call around to video stores, Play N Trade, etc and make sure they actually have a high quality resurfacer. Seems like a lot of places just charge you $3 to toss the thing into a $25 disc doctor and call it a day.

You really shouldn't be able to tell if a game has been resurfaced. If it's done properly and with high quality equipment, you won't be able to see any difference between the resurfaced game and a normal retail disc.

Gamecubes can load from SD now. Get a $20 SD adaptor and never worry about scratched discs again.

Do you have pictures of the game discs? Do you see any obvious signs of wear? How is the top of each disc?

Personally, I prefer a ritualistic child sacrifice to resurrect my Gamecube games and transfer their souls into a separate shell. Might I suggest buying a victim on Craigslist?
