Based on your own experience, which platform is more likely to have cd cases that are in bad shape?

I will have to go with xbox, 360, gamecube, and the wii. I say this because I had to replace many of the cases.

I think that most of the members here will say either the Sega CD or the Saturn. At least this one will. :D

PAL Playstation / Dreamcast cases, they are wicked thick because of the manuals, they suck when cracked for the same reason as Saturn, Sega CD, just annoying to replace.

Saturn/Sega CD those damn hinges snap so easily and the cases are just scratch magnets.

Probably Dream Cast and PSOne Cases. Hard to find one that isn't cracked at least you can easily swap the artwork into another case. Oddly enough i have began running into a lot of melted PSOne cases recently :P.

NES, SNES, and N64. There weren't nearly as many collectors that were worried about condition and often just threw them away. The ones that weren't are easily damaged because they're nothing more than flimsy cardboard.

It just makes me cringe that i remember just throwing my n64 boxes into the garbarge, i had games like ogre battle, harvest moon, and super smash bros. I had no idea they would one day be worth something.

Excluding anything that came in cardboard or paper, SCD and Saturn cases are the worst. I've seen plenty of badly mangled PS1 jewelcases too, that's a runner-up.

PAL Dreamcast games without a doubt. Even when the case isn't completely shattered (which is unlikely, they seem to crack from the tiniest things), the hinges are normally gone. And if neither of those has happened, you can be sure the spindle for the disc is missing a few prongs and your disc will be bouncing around loose.

PAL Sega cases were awful after the Mega Drive. As bad as the Dreamcast game cases are, the Saturn cases are even worse. The difference is that the Dreamcast cases break really easily, whereas the Saturn cases are unfit for purpose even when in prime condition
