Seriously though, one of the worst things about me somehow gaining a weird Mid Western/Southern accent mash-up is that every time I'm in Chicago people ask me to say stuff.
"Say Phone!"
"Say On!"
"Say Y'all again"
I know how you feel. Going from 3 years in Eastern North Carolina to 4 years in Virginia, I had something of a drawl. I had the same experience when I moved to Michigan's Upper Peninsula for school.

Moving from Chicago to Columbus (OH) to Lenoir, NC was something else.

We all make grammatical mistakes from time to time, but I had never heard "We ain't got no..." before in my life. And I heard it from a lot of people, often.
Of course I grew up and realized that it wasn't the accent that made people sound dumb, they were doing that themselves.
Got a new red Wii for about $90 off amazon, came in great shape with everything. I noticed the surface has some light smears and scratches though... don't we have some threads or tips on cleaning things like that up?
But yeah feels good to have another older Wii again that can play GC stuff. Not sure what I'll do with my newer model one, but I'll keep it around.

Plastic polish and the like. Search for that.
If the scratches are real bad, look for Plastic Polish used for older car convertible tops. I use it to polish out discs, seems to work better then the "official" disc cleaning chemicals. Try the polish first on the inside door or back side of the Wii just in case.
Congrats on the red Wii, I always thought only the white vertical was the GC compatible model. The Gamecube compatibility is great also for Wii games that make good use of the Gamecube controller. The only Wii console to get due to this feature, something also lost on the WiiU.

I used exactly that on a art deco table from the 1920's which has a metal top, and it left the table top looking brand new. Doing a bit of research and getting the right polish is key.

I hate taking pharmaceutical medicine. My body is ever so tired, but my mind won't shut off so I can rest. Feeling sick and wired is the worst. I'd rather just feel sick.
