Bioshock - Take it or leave it. The first should have been a standalone game. The two other games pale in comparison.
Have you played Infinite? How do you know it pales when it's not even out!?

In any case, I don't want franchises to die. I have no personal vendetta against Call of Duty or this or that.

Yeah, I'm tired of some games. I don't get why Assassin's Creed is so popular and will continue to not play them.

But death to them? Naw.

The only one I can kind of agree with is Half Life. Then I don't have to hear the constant whining and speculation about HL3 anymore. (It will come out when it comes out people)

The longer Valve waits the more it will fail, just like Duke Nukem

Is it just me, or does reviving a Franchise always end in fail?

Yep, and just as hard as the originals

Haha, don't all jump down my throat at the same time. The premise of Bioshock Infinite just doesn't sound interesting. Where could we make a Bioshock setting for our next game!? HOW ABOUT THE SKY LOL! Zelda did it!

Scroll to 6:45 for some what the hell am I watching? This looks riveting, complete with obligatory tribal chanting and all. The new art style, fine. Generic first person shooter gameplay, yes.

Gears of War - thanks but we already have a muscled-men-killin'-aliens series that isn't shitty, it's called Contra
Madden - how about we allow Tecmo and Konami (and Sega lol) to make some NFL games again
Those series are fine IMO, they just need to stop putting them out quite so quickly. It seems to me the highest quality series are the ones that put out at most two titles per gen.
Hazerd wrote:Super Mario - Sorry Nintendo your flag-ship franchise is starting to become fail re-cycled trash, i wouldnt miss him, you need to start making new Original franchises, instead of trying to bring back "Kid Icarus" i mean seriously?
You do realize that people had been begging Nintendo to bring back Kid Icarus for years and years, right? Uprising was a great move on Nintendo's part, and it played so differently than the existing games that it almost could have been a new IP.

Anyway, here's what I would like to see gone:

Grand Theft Auto: I don't enjoy playing the "bad guy," at least not when the game tries to be somewhat realistic ala GTA 4. This series can't be having any positive effect on the culture. yes, i'm that guy who always plays light side in kotor
Bayonetta: Same sort of deal. I wouldn't be comfortable playing this game.
Leisure Suite Larry: No need to explain.
Saint's Row: Once again...
Final Fantasy: These haven't been any good since the PS1 days, if you ask me.
Ratchet & Clank: Although Ratchet 1-3 are among my favorite games ever, the series has been in a steady decline ever since it made the jump to PS3. With no indications of improvement in the future, I think it's time Sony retired this once-great series.
Medal of Honor: Once upon a time, COD was a MOH imitator. It's long been the other way 'round now, and as it turns out MOH is a crappy imitator. Time for the franchise that popularized WWII shooters to die.

Wait... i know some games have a long development, but that was a "Gameplay" video from 2010, its 2013 and the game is still not out!?

Actually, I didn't even notice that. Not that it's a negative thing, at all. If anything, the final product might change my mind.

For one, I don't have a personal vendetta against any particular franchise, but it's how saturated the market feels with new installments to series every year. Looking at this generation specifically, it's hard for me to discern how the series improves when a new game is released in ever increasing frequency. If new games were spread out, I might be more receptive to new innovations.
