Pft. I love my VB and every game I have for it. It's also my go to system if there is a power outage. All you need are a ton of batteries and you're set four minutes of play.Menegrothx wrote:
My advice would be that you forget about Virtual Boy.
What (RETRO) systems do you plan to buy in 2013

Will buy:
HDMI NES from Retrozone, or a VGA NES from the other team. Either way, NES in my arcade cabinet.
Might buy:
Sega Titan Video - if I keep the MVS.

I'd love to get a Neo Geo, but am still sitting on the fence a bit because of cost. Also tossing around getting a Japanese PC-Engine. I've already got a TG-16, but I kinda like the design of the PC-Engine. It's just so tiny and cute! :p

I don't know if it even counts as a system/console or just a pedometer, but I plan to get a Pokemon Pikachu Color/GS/2

I'm jealous that you even have a Hollywood Video anymore. They shutdown all the Hollywood Videos and Game Crazy's in our area.SamuraiMegas wrote:My Virtual Boy is def. going to be bought, they have one at a hollywood video and once i have money I am getting it.

I have a single Blockbuster left in my city (there used to be 4 and multiple Hollywood and Showtime video locations), and in the town a few miles south there's 1. And there's 1 mom-n-pop video store in each, as well.dsheinem wrote:You live somewhere where there's still a video store?SamuraiMegas wrote:My Virtual Boy is def. going to be bought, they have one at a hollywood video and once i have money I am getting it.![]()

The death of video stores feels a lot like the death of arcades, just another significant part of my childhood disappearing and making me feel olderBurningDoom wrote:I have a single Blockbuster left in my city (there used to be 4 and multiple Hollywood and Showtime video locations), and in the town a few miles south there's 1. They played a big role in me being a gamer. There was a time when games were the only reasons I went to them before I got more interested in movies. Montage Video in Scranton, PA gave me so many gaming memories. I miss that place. I probably rented every classic Mega Man game from that place, then would go to the pharmacy next door to check out their magazine section, which always had a few Disney and Nintendo comics, before going to the ice cream parlor nearby

I mean Movie Trading Co. , Hollywood Video is completely shut down. MTC bought the Hollywood videos in my area and I still call them that on accident.
