So, last night I was dreaming I was cleaning out this old guy's house for a nominal fee, with the stipulation, apparently, that if I found anything I would want, it would be possible to keep it (I'm guessing for junk, of which there was plenty).
Anyway, I'm rummaging through the clutter and I come upon a box. I open it and I see the exact same Game Boy case as Michi's Great Find of 2012, complete with a bunch of great GB games and the original GB. But the real kicker was something I hadn't seen before: a pristine copy of Vay for the SNES. Yes, Vay for the SNES, which in my head was worth even more than Earthbound, and whose graphics was more akin to Popful Mail. Total score! Then I woke up in utter disappointment to the fact that there was no Vay for the SNES, especially one that looked like Popful Mail. Why brain, why!?
So, Racketboy, what's your best dream find?

Sealed Mega Man X3 in a clearance bin at Wal-Mart for like $3.50.

Magical Chase (TG16) at a garage sale.

One day the Japanese teachers I work with will say, "Hey Dave, come clean all the PC Engine and Saturn games out of my house, I don't play them anymore." It will happen!

That's definitely on my listAppleQueso wrote:Sealed Mega Man X3 in a clearance bin at Wal-Mart for like $3.50.
I would add sealed copies of all the classic Lucasarts adventure games like Full Throttle, Day of the Tentacle and Curse of Monkey Island, at some flea market.
A sealed, misprint, black lable Final Fantasy 7. My copy has been opened and used plenty of times. I'm sure the disc probably has scratches on it.
A sealed, VGA certified copy of some rare game that somebody gives away cheap at a garage sale because he's lost all interest in collecting and is feeling particularly generous and knows that a fellow gamer like myself would appreciate it.
I stumble upon a huge collection of complete, CIB, SNES games that's been in the back room of some old store or rental place.
A new, sealed Neo Geo or Sega CD that some idiot bought and never used and puts up at a garage sale or flea market.
Every classic Mega Man game boxed, garage sale or flea market
An old arcade cabinet for some classic beat 'em up or fighting game being given away cheap. I actually saw a cheap, arcade cabinet of X-Men Children of the Atom at my comic shop for a fair price once but didn't have the money at the time
Hell, I'm sure I could think of more stuff given the time. That MMX 3 is high on my list though

I think that you may want to change the thread title to:
"Best Game Scores In A Dream"
or something along those lines to avoid confusion...

is this the thread where I'm supposed to talk about that dream I had about Princess Peach in 6th grade?
