I usually get compliments if people actually know whatever band who's shirt I'm wearing.

I used to have a bunch of gaming shirts in high school and would always get nods and compliments on it.

Wear that stuff in public, why not? Only reason I don't do it more nowadays is because I almost never leave the house and my work has a dress code that disallows it.

when I'm not at work, I'm usually wearing some sort of game related t-shirt. Or Sonic Youth t-shirts. I have a lot of those too. I hate buying clothes, so why not buy ones of stuff I'm into.

i wear pretty much only iron maiden shirts under a nice button-up shirt at work. most of them without sleeves.
