The Game Boy Advance SP. It was perfect in just about every way.

Easy to carry, with its neat and sleek "flip phone" design. The backlight was new and revolutionary for its time, and introduced a whole new world to gaming in bed when your parents weren't looking. And lets not forget about the complete backwards compatibility.

EDIT: This post is dumb. Do not read it.

One thing I forgot to say about Saturn is it's got a lot of charm. The hardware is so obnoxiously wonky I can't help but like it. And I do feel a certain nostalgia for the 3D quads. I kind of like them ... where as poorly rendered triangles, I don't care for those much. Everything just has this charm to it. Obviously the (real) controller is fantastic also. It's got the really nice easy to use expansion slot right up top. Just a charming little beast. Even the CD read noise is charming, as opposed to jarring or aggravating. The menu popup sound even reminds be of the Gorons in Zelda ... what's not to like?
While not trying to go off topic too much I just thought I would add that the start-up display on the Saturn where the little shards flying around turn into the Saturn symbol is the most bada$$ start-up to any system IMO.

Its amazing how huge the PS2 was even before it came out. The fact that it had a built in dvd player annnnnndddddd could play your old psx games was just mind blowing back in 2000. Kinda look back and shrug our shoulders now, especially if you were too young to remember, but that was huge. I was rocking out my DC and even then could see the writing on the wall for Sega. No stopping Sony.

While on the topic of logos, the Gamecube logo was pretty brilliant.

To be fair, the SP had the first backlight that was actually tolerable to look at and didn't drain the battery like a mother.

Exactly. It also had a rechargeable battery integrated, which was nice.
