I went to one of my local Goodwills and inside the showcase was a bag wrapped with DS cartridge cases. (the small horizontal clear ones that hold like 4 games)

i.e. http://www.r4wood.com/product_images/up ... 0White.jpg

now usually when you buy these new there are cardboard cutouts that look like actual ds games inside (so they can show you how it holds the games)

well these were filled with animal crossing wild world cutouts inside them. (or so I thought...)

there were 4 cases of 4 games each...the price was 29.99. Now when I asked to see them closer, I opened them to find that the Animal Crossing games were actually real...lol...

so there you have it 16 animal crossing wild world DS carts for 29.99. I lol'd and put them back. (...I asked if they'd sell them individually and they said no).

yep. the only thing interesting/humorous about that find is that you didn't buy it instantly. even if you took the rest to a resale shop you'd get bare minimum double your money back in trade credit.

 Where? So I can buy them? And I do not even own a DS.

Black New uDraw - $69.99 $9.99 Gamestop
The product that put THQ to bankruptcy. These were originally priced at $60.99, then $49.99, then $29.99. At only ten bucks, thought I would give it a try. Liked it enough to get a backup tablet.

White Used uDraw / Storage Shelf- $20.00 Craigs List
The lady wanted $20.00 for the uDraw and $5.00 for the Rocketfish Storage Tower, asked twenty for both. The tower holds twenty two games and if I do not put the Wii inside, another additional twelve or so.

uDraw New Titles - $29.99 $9.99 each Gamestop
The Art programs each came with the uDraw tablets. Dood Adventure is a 2d platformer and Sponge Bob is similar to Warioware. With the pen, a different way to play a game.

So is the uDraw worth it? At the clearance price and something different for the console maybe so. Determining which console version will depend on what you want to get out of it. The best software selection or additional undocumented PC support as an inexpensive Wacom.

No games, most with manuals.
That is a lot of DS cases, good find to have extra on hand. I wonder if the Charity shop is selling the games without the tossed cases?
Hoping to find the games for a good price. I think they were either donated empty or a shop volunteer has very sticky fingers :(

I've been working in a new area this week, one of my work mates suggested looking in the local auction room as he had seen games/consoles in there previously.

I popped in yesterday during my lunch break, in a rush to get back out and round the charity shops I found nothing, it's a typical auction house with items everywhere.

My work mate informed me later that the current stock awaiting auction is kept in the shop, what fails to sell at auction is kept out in the yard, people are able to buy these items straight away.

Today I went back, had a good look around the yard and found...

Very suprised to find a load of NTSC/U games in the one place I eagerly picked and checked the games I fancied.

I approached the sales counter, which was manned by 2 members of staff, and asked for a price, pointing out that most of the games were NTSC/U which limited thier salability.

The 2 staff seemed to take an age umming and arring between each other until one of them said £10 :) didn't bother haggling at that price :D

I had been browsing ebay only last night thinking of buying Sexy Parodious on the Saturn but the £40 price made me feel unwell.

Games list...
Final Fantasy VIII
Resident Evil: Directors Cut
Bushido Blade 2
Pong
Gran Turismo
Road Rash 3D
Test Drive 5
Driver
Bloody Roar 2
Urban Chaos
Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes
Mortal Kombat 4
Namco Museum Volume 3
Twisted Metal 3
Tekken 2
Bust A Move 2, loose
And the only PAL game amongst the lot, Parodious 8) 8) , no manual and ex rental, suprisingly the disc is in good order.

I've a feeling i'll be visiting this place often

For the first time in over a year, I made a successful Craigslist deal. For $25, I got:

Three indigo Nintendo brand controllers
An off-brand memory card
The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (CIB)
Super Smash Bros Melee (CIB)

The reason the price was so low? It was a kid selling them, he looked about 10.

And I also got a decent deal at Slackers, Wind Waker (CIB) for $30. A year ago, I wouldn't have thought of posting this in this thread. :x

What has happened to Gamecube prices lately? I have seen some things sell on Ebay at incredible prices. Has the hobby just exploded or are people generally nuts?

Went to a Goodwill about 45 min. away, and got MSR (DC), Wii Play, and PSO 1&2 (GC) all for $3 a piece. Also got a black GC controller for $2.

I think its because of Gamestop's Gamecube phase out...games that were commonly found at Gamestop, will now be harder and harder to find. hence the raise in value and prices.

Shenmue with all 4 discs, no original case or manuel. The guy at game trade made me cover art before I arrived and it came in three disc cases.
