Snagged some good deals today:

Image

Flicky no manual (GEN) - $8
Columns III CIB (GEN) - $3
Beyond Oasis CIB (GEN) - $10
Gauntlet Legends (DC) - $7

Think I got a pretty good deal on Beyond Oasis, it's super minty except for that sticker residue in the corner :?

Beyond Oasis is a very fun game. Good find!

On a related point, what is the best/safest way to keep cardboard Genesis cases? I have acquired quite a few over time, and they look more "scuffed" every time I bring them out. Are there some sort of rigid box protector that would help me avoid scuffing/accidental crushing?

The video game box protectors work just fine for them. I can't recall if it is the SNES or the SFC protectors, but one of those is almost a perfect fit and it's what I use.

Thanks. I am definitely interested in picking some up after I had to purge two games out of my collection due to accidental crushing. Who is your supplier? (eBay, Amazon, etc.)?

No no, he sell's em' on ebay but the ebay fees are included in that price.

He's on NA, but quickest and most cost-efficient way is right through his website.

Looks like he just updated and prettied up his website (and slowed down the ease of access in the process :/ ) http://www.videogameboxprotectors.com/# ... 4569532134

Here's his NA page w/the same info:
http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/messag ... adid=48541

Typically (25-30) or less ship for $5 priority flat envelope w/adequate padding. Anything over that will go medium flat rate for $11, up to (100) or so.

Those video game box protectors are great. I know the NES size witch is to big for NES games fits the 32x boxes great, I use the custom NES size for my prized Mega Man witch I think fits the NES better then the regular size.

I got an interesting / humorous find...

I went to one of my local Goodwills and inside the showcase was a bag wrapped with DS cartridge cases. (the small horizontal clear ones that hold like 4 games)

i.e. http://www.r4wood.com/product_images/up ... 0White.jpg

now usually when you buy these new there are cardboard cutouts that look like actual ds games inside (so they can show you how it holds the games)

well these were filled with animal crossing wild world cutouts inside them. (or so I thought...)

there were 4 cases of 4 games each...the price was 29.99. Now when I asked to see them closer, I opened them to find that the Animal Crossing games were actually real...lol...

so there you have it 16 animal crossing wild world DS carts for 29.99. I lol'd and put them back. (...I asked if they'd sell them individually and they said no).

That's actually a good deal for Animal Crossing on the DS, even if it's cart only. You should make your money back in the first couple on Ebay.

$2.50 total @ Goodwill:

Q-Bert (PS1) Complete
Pacman World Rally (GC) Complete

The game box protectors are actually greetings card boxes, just refashioned as video game protectors. You can get them at this link for significantly cheaper than eBay (under $9 for 25). http://www.clearbags.com/box/clear/card. The only thing is if you're buying a small order (less than 100) the shipping kills the deal because they add a "small order" fee and you're better off with eBay or one of the sites mentioned. I'm going to have to credit Pat the NES Punk for the tip. The preferred sizes are below.

NES Custom "snug" size.

5 1/8" x 7 1/4" x 1" (US inches)
