I've been filling in holes in my collection, just because. I don't even intend on playing a lot of them. Let's see, what's the last few:

Odyssey2 (should be showing up in the mail Monday or Tuesday)
Game.com (yep. The girl at the game store was kinda stunned. It was $20, sue me)
Atari 7800 (my 2nd)
Colecovision (my 2nd)
Neo Geo AES (okay this one will get some playtime. I just need to pick up a few more games for it)
ummm... I can't remember what I bought before that. Maybe the Neo Geo CD?

The 7800 and CV were bought because my old ones were modded, poorly, back when I didn't care so much about my systems and I wanted cleaner ones. The others are because I've been collecting more than playing lately so I've been trying to fill the holes in my collection. Console-based, still need a CDi, then we go back to the really old ones (Channel F, Bally Astrocade, ummm... I feel as though I'm forgetting one of the ones from the 70s). Handheld, an N-Gage and a NGPC...

I have way too much stuff.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed

Excellent choice sir! A PC Engine Duo R with all the fixings was my last console purchase until a couple of days ago when I got a Wii U. I already love them both!

I bought the Dreamcast just over a year ago. I got it based on the premise that:
A. The games and hardware are way undervalued
B. The games are uniquely brilliant.
C. It was easily the best system of its time.

I'm not gonna question the quality of the games, but I think I got to the party way too late and it was a pretty uncomfortable experience. I'm sorry for the heresy, but I'm beginning to think it was a mistake :(

Can anyone out there restore my faith in the DC?

1. What's your gaming genre?

2. The DC is definitely overrated in my opinion, but what it does, it can do well.

3. Have you just tried burning games to "try before you buy"?

1. That's a great question, and one I definitely should've asked before purchasing. I've found that the DC has dozens of awesome fighters, and shooters, but those aren't really my style (mostly fighters). To answer your question, I'm mostly into platformers, RPG, and strategy games - which the dreamcast has made dozens of equally awesome entries in - but I'll like anything if it's good enough (especially if it's got good multiplayer).

3. Oh god, don't get me started on that disaster. I've had a few night-long battles with my computer and for some reason I just can't get it to work.
