Congratulations! That is great news! I am sure that she will cost you many more nights of sleep!

Smile... This phone conversation actually took place:
Customer Service: Welcome to Dick's Sporting Goods, how can I help you?
Me: Yes, can I speak to someone in the sporting goods department?
Definitely the dumbest thing I've done this year.

One time I answered the phone at work, recited the whole "thank you for calling Walmart" bit, and the woman on the line asked me if she could "talk to someone who works there." Because sometimes Walmart forces customers to answer the phones, I guess.Luke wrote:Smile... This phone conversation actually took place:

I used to work at Staples in the office supplies department.
When you call Staples, you're prompted to press 1 for office supplies, 2 for business machines, 3 for furniture, etc...
What's annoying is that most people are impatient and simply pushed 1 to end the prompt. I'd say 75% of the calls I got had nothing to do with office supplies. I'd then have to transfer the call, which generally irritated the customer.
The calls I did get were totally bizarre too... Did you know you can buy ink for ATM machines at Staples? Typewriters, too...
I once got a call from an old lady asking if we still sold "mice with balls in them."

I just got one of those ridiculous spam emails that purports to be someone that's going to kill you, but if you send them more money than they've already been paid, they'll ignore the contract and let you live.

Send him an email that you will use all that money to have him killed instead.Hobie-wan wrote:I just got one of those ridiculous spam emails that purports to be someone that's going to kill you, but if you send them more money than they've already been paid, they'll ignore the contract and let you live.

January 4th at that. If there was a "What's the dumbest thing you've done this year?" thread. Oh boy.REPO Man wrote: It's only January. Give it more time.
