Pretty much the same formula video game covers have adopted, except that they are faced the opposite direction.

Wouldn't be shocked if the same designer did all of those posters.
...I wouldn't really be shocked if that wasn't the case either.

Night Of The Demon

A really weird and extremely violent Yeti slasher film. He forces 2 girl scouts that are carrying knifes (Why not!?
) to stab each other, he rips a poor guy's penis while he goes to take a leak, stabs a girl with a pitchfork, puts a guy's face into a hot plate, he also rapes a woman which later gives birth to his baby which looks like a cabbage patch kid covered in strawberry jam. All of this with horrible music and shitty acting. I still can't believe this was a video nasty
.
James Rolfe (AVGN) did a hilarious review of this in the Camp Cult Monster Madness: http://cinemassacre.com/2010/10/17/night-of-the-demon/

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
It was a great fight scene, and the movie as a whole was very good, but it left me wanting more and not in a good way. I was disappointed when I saw the end credits. Chocolate was more satisfying with its amazing action and stunt work. Ip Man and The Man from Nowhere had better stories. I could think of other examples, but I don't think The Raid Redemption is really in the upper tier of martial arts action movies. It's missing something that I can't quite put my finger on. When the movie ended I felt like, "that's it?"Luke wrote:I don't think it can be hyped up enough. Every movie should be required to have a ten minute scene including Maddog.Gamerforlife wrote:I just watched The Raid: Redemption. It's a fantastic action movie, but it's been hyped up WAAAAAAAY too much.
Now if they could have had Donnie Yen in that movie somewhere.....

Mad Dog, AND Donnie Yen in the same movie?Gamerforlife wrote:Now if they could have had Donnie Yen in that movie somewhere.....
My god man, celluloid can't handle that much badassery.

To each his own, but RAID was so much more to me than an action movie. "Intense over the top action comedy showcase of awesomeness" puts it better for me. Some of the fights are so violently absurd I busted a gut from laughing at them.
MADEA'S FAMILY REUNION
It's no "HAPPY FAMILY" by any stretch, but it has Madea, so it can't be bad right?
Right. This is more along the lines of Diary of a Mad Black Woman, but it has its fair share of comedy. The same formula is used: Woman is being physically and mentally abused by a powerful and rich husband but doesn't want to leave because of the provided lifestyle. In comes Johnny Goodlooks, and although he's handsomer than handsome and is a great man in all aspects, he's a blue collared worker.
Will our lovely lady listen to her conscious? Will her rich friends tell her to stick with her husband? Will the husband get his comeuppance? Will Johnny Goodlooks make a mistake but redeem himself at the last minute? Will Madea set everything straight in the end?
If you enjoy movies that seem like either a stage show or a stretched out sitcom, Family Reunion should be a good choice for ya.

So awesome. It's like the acid-dropping Japanese lovechild of Scooby-Doo and Suspiria.

Good, but it kinda drags in some parts. But the ending, while a total downer, was worth the journey.
