Basically. But with Reach and 4 out at this point it's pretty easy to skip over. Always a big fan of the campaigns, but ODST was a borefest to me.BoringSupreez wrote:It's only $20, and very easy to find in stores. It's short though, and Bungie's weakest effort. Worth one playthrough, and then off to the shelf.Opa Opa wrote:Is ODST worth checking out?
What single player FPS campaign are you playing?

Completed Call of Duty 2 today on the Gamecube. That was a great FPS! All I got now is MOH European Assault... I need more FPS!

Currently busy with Outlaws on the PC. A classic from the old LucasArts days.
If ever a game deserved a sequel, this would be one of those, imho.
Dyin's too good for 'em

Just started MOH European Assault on the Gamecube today. They enhanced the standard gameplay with new options, like secondary objectives (some hidden until you explore the levels completely), squad commands, "revives" (like having extra lives), and gaining "adrenaline" for kills and other achievements (UT2004 anyone?). This makes the game better.
On the PC front, I'm gonna go backwards to the Spearhead expansion pack soon (remember I inerrantly played Breakthrough first

I just finished up Metro 2033 and enjoyed it a lot for its attention to detail. Very interesting story and premise.
Now I am working on Bioshock, which I got the series on the cheap for. Never played through it and am enjoying it so far, although I am a pansy when it comes to horror games. Nothing scares me in real life, no movies, books, haunted houses, but horror games......they freak me out.

I've been playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution and put Dishonored on the back burner for now since I realized I was on the last level and didn't want it to end.
De:hr is pretty damn good. I've been playing on hard and doing every side mission I can find. The game does have some really funny moments. In one mission I was supposed check out a body in the morgue. So I as I was lurking through the police station I stopped and listened to a conversation between some cops. The one cop was trying to explain robocop to the other. Then I looked at the name to office and lost it.
Also the amount of Nigerian prince emails.
Now I couldn't talk about the game without mentioning the boss fights, since I've been playing on hard ammo has been pretty scarce which hasn't made them harder really it just means I have be stealthier outside of the boss battles. I just finished the second boss fight after having decided to kill everything in my path on the way to the her. Needless to say I had to drop the difficulty to easy just to beat her after I spent an hour on hard.
All in all it's a really great game and I'm thinning of picking up the Mass Effect trilogy after I finish this maybe...

Yeah, the bosses in HR are terrible. Apparently they're pretty easy if you use the Typhoon Defense System, and the first boss can actually be pretty easily taken out by chucking barrels at him. But they were farmed out to another dev house, and it shows.
