Dont you hate/like it when.....

Post by someone3760 »

This is a thread where you say what you hate/like about any videogame related object. Don't you hate it when you find an old gaming magazine and find rare game previews and reviews? I found an old nintendo power, and inside was a Bubble Bobble Part 2 NES walkthrough, and another one had an Earthbound preview.

Why would I hate that? That sounds awesome.

It is awesome, but it advertise's the games original prices. I would buy 100 copies of each game if I had enough money...

Man, I could have bought Shining in the Darkness for only $69.99! :P
I think the prices for games generally balance out in the long run.

I really love stumbling upon old game articles. The oldest game magazines I have are the Official Dreamcast Magazine but things from the 16-bit era are a blast to revisit. Key-Glyph has a stack of Sega Visions that I've flipped through and it's great just to see how different the gaming landscape was back then.

I still flip through my EGM #8 that I keep in my office. Just to keep things real.

My oldest game magazine is a Gamepro from mid-2001. 2001 was a really interesting year for gaming, since the PS1, N64, DC, PS2, and GBC were all alive, and the press was abuzz with news of the oXbox, GCN, and GBA.

Found my old Nintendo Power issues and some strategy guides in my father's shed last year. I thought he had tossed them so I was thrilled they turned up. Hadn't seen most of these issues in 15+ years. It was like taking a trip back through time. They're now safe at my house. 8)

I have almost all my old Nintendo Powers starting back around issue 3 or 4. I love reading about and seeing the previews for the hot new Super Famicom in Japan lol
