The only problem I had with the Wii was only on one game, and I know it was the game's fault. Far Cry, I do like the game, but its full of bugs. Would always glitch and some times freeze.

I know about PS3 problems. A friend works in Best Buy, and said the first display model PS3's (the ones customers can play) would freeze every hour and they'd have to turn it off then back on. My friend got a launch PS3, and when I went over to check it out it froze after 2 or 3 hours of gameplay. But other then that, he's had no problems.

I have a newer 40GB model PS3, hopefully mine will be a smooth system. I have a later revision PS2 that was free from all those problems like read errors, hopefully I'm in the same boat with PS3.

360 on the other hand, I have no clue what's going on with. Sure I've heard all about the overheating problems, red ring of death. It's actually the reason I didn't get a 360. It's kinda crazy the game world we live in now. Back in the day of Genesis VS SNES you never had problems like overheating.

But I'd like to point out that only people with problems post them on the interweb. If every one that didn't have a problem with a Wii posted about it, it'd be hard to find those with problems.

One of my coworkers ran into the problem with SSBB, where it destroyed his Wii and it had to get fixed. Apparently this wasn't a freak occurance, as there were a lot of posts about it on Gamefaqs at launch.

Personally, the only problem I've ever had with a console was the PS2 fat my brother got from a friend. It wouldn't read PS1 discs, but I found a guide online to adjust the pot for the laser, and it magically started working. After I graduated college and moved I ended up picking up my own PS2 slim, and so far I haven't had any issues with that.

Of course, I also own all three models of Playstation and only play the intended games on each.
