Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Because I'm not much of a PC gamer and the games I do play are older and are perfectly playable using a keyboard. So I've never needed a joystick. I could get my hands on a USB NES controller, though. Would that work?General_Norris wrote:Still! Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I've always preferred D-pads to joysticks anyways. I spent a lot more time playing fighting games on my SNES, Genesis, and PS1 than I did in the arcades.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I've had this 360 controller sitting around for a while which I got on the cheap with intentions to clean it up and "customize" it a little. I finally got the extra parts in the mail today and here's the finished product:
I like it.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I can't be the only person that hates games that have freerun/parkour in them right?
It seems like after prince of Persia: sands of time came out every other game started to shoehorn that stuff in. PoP: sot is the only game where it isn't annoying.
Assassins creed is a huge pain in the ass when you are just trying to run and away from something and you take a corner wrong and end up running up a wall, grabbing a ledge or not it still takes about 5 to 15 second to either keep going or climb further. Infamous is just as bad.
Both games end up with me yelling at the TV "No, why are you standing on that chimney? It's like two feet tall. I just wanted you to go over it. Wait, what? Why are you still standing there perched? Is this controller broken? I'm still holding forward yet here you sit. Are you brooding? Oh ok there you go see it wasn't that hard to jump off was- OH WHAT THE FUCK! WHY DID YOU JUST JUMP TO THE OTHER CHIMNEY?"
I can't even count the amount of times I've been killed in those games due to perch sessions.
