WCW Saturday Night. It was WCW's flagship T.V. show for decades until Nitro began in late '95.

That's pretty cool you have that tape, though. You should post it on YouTube or something to share. I'd love to see it. I have some old tapes of WCW Nitros somewhere, I should dig those out. Maybe a couple Raws or old Smackdowns, too.

I'm probably going to order TLC tomorrow and then I'll be at RAW for the Slammy's on Monday in Philly.

I think they may do something big, like a Ziggler cash-in tomorrow with Punk off the card. Actually looks like a pretty good card.

So TLC was pretty darn good, definitely in the top 3 ppvs of the year with Wrestlemania and Extreme Rules.

The Shield match went on around 9:10 (and went a good 25 minutes) which pretty much telegraphed they'd win (no Ryback win to leave the fans happy to end hte show) but what a debut match. Their psychology of working together was some of the best I've seen in a wrestling match.

The AJ turn was the only way to end that stupidity, but we have to be clear: she knocked Cena off but Ziggler super kicked the shit out of him to then climb up and win. Good moment for Dolph, he and AJ would be quite a power couple if they let her go full heel.

It's not going to get any better until people realize they have to stop being so damn traditional and change the rules. Pro wrestling has not really evolved in years. It's like when you look at WWE and every heel has to be chicken shit coward who runs from fights, lies and cheats to win. You can't keep doing that all the time. No other form of entertainment makes all of their bad guys act that way. It's ONLY pro wrestling, which shows how disconnected from reality these bookers and writers are. Sometimes I watch wrestling and think that the people who put these shows together are delusional. Only in the insane world of wrestling (WWE especially) are bad guys ALWAYS made to look weak and non threatening. This is why there is NEVER any drama in the WWE

and I wish they'd stop with the sudden turns, it's so weird seeing Alberto Del Rio shaking people's hands and acknowledging the fans tonight because they didn't build up to this at all. It's like someone just took over his body and so he's not the same guy we saw last week. That guy was a jerk, this guy is nice. It's so jarring and unnatural. If you want people to care about turns in wrestling you need to build them up slowly and subtly. Let fans go on that journey and see the story play out of how a guy changes due to events in his life or career.

I haven't watched WWE since Brock Lesnar came back but I keep up to date with what's going on thanks to this thread. The main problem I find is the amount of time and effort watching wrestling requires. If you're a teen or a single guy I suppose it's doable but I just don't have time to spend two hours watching a poor episode of Raw where there is more talking than wrestling. I'd rather spend that two hours in the evening playing a game or watching a film with the other half. Even the pay-per-views are glorified episodes of Raw. They need to cut down the pay-per-views.
But of course, I'm a sucker and will DEFINITELY be watching the Royal Rumble. In fact the Road to Wrestlemania is the only time of year I really make sure to watch WWE.
I catch the odd bit of TNA, but more than anything I'd rather put in a DVD and watch a classic match from the 90s.
