I hate stealth games because they tend to either bore me, stress me out, or both.
Maybe I just have too thin of an attention span for this gameplay style but I find it really aggravating. I especially hate when an action game grinds to a halt for a shoehorned-in stealth segment.
Oddly enough though I usually enjoy playing the stealthier classes in online games. Maybe it's just more rewarding to outwit a live player than it is to wait out an AI.
I can't think of any single player stealth games or stealth segments that I enjoyed except maybe Thief but I'm reluctant to count that because my time spent playing that game was mostly screwing around, seeing all of the funny things I could do. I suppose I do also like games where you're given the option to fight stealthily or run out guns-blazing.

Haha, I loved them RS games, specifically 3 and Black Arrow. That's one thing that I miss from modern games, the humourous cries of a dying enemy. Rainbow Six nailed it, and Perfect Dark before it with the "You bitch!" and "Why....me!?". I can't remember which Splinter Cell it was, but there was one where the guards would talk about videogames to their colleagues, might have been Double Agent.ExedExes wrote:I just finished RS3 and I love those accents. "CUIDADO!" "POLICIA!" etc.Razzmatazz wrote:Just give me some old fashioned terrorists in Rainbow Six with dodgy Spanish accents. Although it's hard playing the old ones without the cover system now, it's the old "sneak out gradually from behind a wall where the enemy can't see you unless they see your eyes, and ignore your massive gun sticking out". Ah...the days of "Breach and clear".
I never used Breach & Clear that much. Open Flash & Clear! Or just send them all out and hope they get lucky.
One thing they need to bring back is the ability to drag/carry bodies.
On a side note, which console is best for stealth then? I would say oXbox, what with the excellent Rainbow Six 3, Splinter Cell 1-3, Hitman 2/Contracts/Blood Money, Thief 2. Although I suppose you can play them all on PC.
Currently playing Splinter Cell: Blacklist

Civilian: I'd like to register a complaint.
Cop: Than you'll have to ask at the desk to your right.
Civilian: Very well.
Cop: Can I help you?
Civilian: You're the same cop!
Cop: Yes, but this is the Public Relations Desk.
Civilian: (Irritated) Fine! I would like to register a complaint!
Cop: Of course sir, if you would be willing to wait until somebody is ready to help you.
Civilian: You've got to be kidding me!
Cop: I can easily have you arrested sir.
When did they stop letting you drag the bodies? I haven't played the other ones yet.
All those titles are available on the PC, I believe.
