Is there a database of console versions somewhere?

Is there a database of console versions somewhere?

Post by Pichu »

Maybe I just suck at using search engines (here on racketboy and on the internet in general), but I have failed to come up with anything. I'm talking about every single version of a console whether it's a total overhaul or just a changed port on the back.

Please and thanks.

afaik, there are no such sites. There are sites that list them indivdualy though (all versions of one console). Try googling for the rarest version and you might find a website that lists the (other) versions.

Don't think it lives up to what you're looking for, but each system has a 'models and clones' section. Some of these seem to list different product codes and presumably small revisions?

That console library is interesting and I'm looking foward to browsing more in-depth, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for.

Thanks for the link still.

This of course will help with colors and special editions. But it only mentions appearances, not internal changes or plugs on the back.
