I'm willing to forgive all of this if the movie turns out good, and I really want it to, but man... Snyder has yet to win me over.
There are glimpses of hope in the trailer, but then again we see bearded Clark looking like all he wants to do is kick rocks, a dead butterfly (hell if I know why), and then Supes breaking the sound barrier. If it's twenty minutes of origin and an hour or so of action I am all in.
I'm wayyyy over analyzing this, but at the same time I am looking at the bigger picture aka TJL. Marvel really set the bar with IRON MAN and Superman needs to follow suit. SPIDER-MAN 3 taught us that bummed out super heroes make for awful movies and, for me at least, makes a statement that the audience is dumb.
It probably boils down to the fact that I think so many other brilliant people could have made a much better poster that would draw in more ticket sales and spark interest. I mean, this is marketing a movie. Tens of thousands of dollars were put into this shot and what does the poster say? This poster is better suited for an Amanda Bynes leaving court doc, not a Superman movie.
