What home port of doom should I get?

Post by captainsugartits »

I plan on getting doom and I want to know what home port would be the best, as I can't get the PC version. Systems I own: NES,SNES,Genesis,N64,PS1,PS2,Dreamcast,gamecube. Or, should I get the GBA version?

I'd go for the PS1 Final Doom, given your limited options.

Burn yourself a CD of the Dreamcast port.

Of the systems you've got, the PS1 version is the best.

Doom 64 is a pretty awesome game, but it's not actually a port of Doom. It's completely original.

Yeah, it should be bought in addition to the PS1 version, not instead of.

And I don't know if you've got a 32X for that Genesis of yours, but stay far, far away from the 32X version.

Buy a boxed copy of it for any console of your liking and play it on PC. I personally think the Jaguar box art looks the coolest.

I really like the N64 version, and would most recommend that, even though it is not really the same game as others have mentioned.

We'll I'm assuming that by that meant he can't get a boxed copy of the PC version, not that he doesn't own a PC at all.
