Fast forward to today. I'm in my room playing nfl 2k2 on the dreamcast and my oldest went into my room and saying "dad, that looks gross. All the players look like apes" I went yeah of course it's 10 years old but here try these graphics and I put on madden 08 on the oxbox thinking he would tell me wow that looks great but no. He says "Well it looks a little better but it's not even close to madden 12" Your sports games are too old for me to play. I thought the xbox looked great.
I felt at that point old. I'm 37 and for once I felt my age. It was even worse when I said "Ryan if my games are bad then why do you play arcade games and retro games with me on my nights off from work? His reply was "well you buy us pizza on weekends and I just didn't want you too feel old and left out". OUCH!!!
I just read racketboy's threat on why he loves being a reto gamer. Thanks to that article I'm DAMN PROUD to play retro games. That's all I need.
On a side note I have kept my 20.00 on a bet that I did with my kids. I bet them that they could not beat tyson on punch out for the nes or make it thru level 3 in ninja gaiden 1 or 2. They could not get thru level 2 on ninja gaiden's and not pass 2 minutes in punch out
I feel better thinking about that again. Damn kids lol play that cod crap. Im blowing a nes cart and grabbing a 2 button controller and playing castlevania 3 or double dragon
