Quite enjoyed the two Jumping Flash games on the PS1, but they do not age well. I played it not too long ago on someones PS3, must have been a digital DL or something.

I loved the X-Com games on PC put out by MicroProse. I only new two types of ppl, those that loved it or those that have not played it, so I figure it was popular and not worth mentioning on this thread.

How come? It's one of earliest PS1 games so it wasn't designed with analog sticks in mind (and thus does not support them), but other than that the games are fine. I love how trippy, weird and polygonal the games are. We'll never see another game quite like it ever again, which just makes me appreciate the games even more.

The first Xcom is widely considered to be the best strategy game of all time. The readers of my local game magazine voted it as the 2nd best game of all time. It's not really an average game by any means, it's just that strategy games will never be as popular as more simple genres (platformers, FPSs, fighters, sports games and so on). But when it comes to strategy games the first Xcom is like Mario, Mega Man or Sonic (or atleast Donkey Kong Country/Mega Man X).
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

It's been ages since I've played the gba one. Maybe it wasn't crappy and I'm thinking of something else.

I absolutely love the Darius series. Nothing says awesome like armies of giant mechanical space fish that shoot lasers, and bosses that take up about 15 screens worth of 2D shmuppery.

And Tenchu. I am with the Tenchu clan in this thread.

You said it right there..."earliest PS1 games". I can't get my retro jollys for poly's just yet. JF is a great game, like you stated, "trippy, weird and polygonal" but chunky hurts my eyes.

I love Rage Racer too, but I have to concede that the graphics (CLIPPING!!!) are painful.

I am freaking in love with the Ty the Tasmanian Tiger series! I have all 3 on the Gamecube and they are some of my favorite games ever with some of my favorite characters ever!

They just released a free iOS Ty game last week called Boomerang Blast so go download it!

The graphics are horrible in jumping flash(they were slightly better in the second game) but it adds to the game's charm. The gameplay holds up fairly well as long as you don't go into it thinking it plays like a normal FPS.
