I seem to be the only person who likes the Mega Man Battle Network sub-series. It's a simple and fun collection of action RPGs, and they're well suited to handhelds.

I would say I like it as well, I played 3 of them to the end. I just felt that it is not worth playing much more than 1 or 2. I would recommend one of the DS remakes (was it the fifth one?) as it is nicer to edit the chip folder and such with stylus controls.

I haven't played much (like only first two levels) of the first one, but I did play the GBA game and I didn't think it was crappy at all. I liked it quite a lot and thought it was pretty high quality puzzle platformer. Hidden Gem?

I like the Klonoa GBA games myself, and the two main games are pretty critically acclaimed.

While we're on the topic of cute fuzzy protagonists I really liked Tail Concerto and its spiritual sequel, Solatorobo. Nobody seemed to play either of those.

The Geneforge games. Super old school styled computer RPGs with some nice story telling. Not many people seem to be familiar with the series, but I've really enjoyed the games I've played in it.

Blasphemy! Empire of Dreams is great! Namco did an outstanding job adapting the series to standard 2-D.

How popular is Mr. Driller compared to other puzzle franchises?

I have the original on Dreamcast, Mr. Driller 2 on GBA, and Drill Spirits for DS. I would cite all 3 games as one of my favorites for each platform. I've read people write it off as being kind of a thoughtless puzzler, but feel that you really have to take your time and drill wisely to master the game's concept. It's when I'm running low on air, and become wreckless that I die most often.

The games are stylish, the music's catchy, and I always enjoy playing as actual characters in a puzzle game rather than a brick, or an avatar pulling a lever or something.

I just saw a review of this game, and it looks like a blast! I want to get my hands on it. And it shows that all that hype I always hear about Super Mario 64 being the first open-area 3D platformer is a bunch of BS, because from the looks of it this game is.
