Aero Blasters on TG-16. It's pretty damn sweet, too. No slowdown I've noticed so far; it moves at a great speed; responsive controls, and good music.

Damn, I think I'm gonna have to start looking into Turbo shmups.

EDIT: I'll start a Hi-Score thread for this if there's any takers.

Started up Deathsmiles again for Halloween and haven't been able to drop it for another shmup yet.

Just got the 1CC in Armed Police Batrider (Normal Course). You get extra lives at 1.5 million and 3 million. I got to the final boss on my last life with 1 bomb left (not even a full bomb, just a partial one), with a score of about 2.7 million. Used up the bomb, dodged a hail of bullets, then got hit, but in the process managed to kill the boss at the same time and trigger the next extra life. Result.

Been playing it a bit recently, using up bombs by going for medal chains and scoring. This time I just saved them for the bosses...

Heh, yeah it was one of those 'What just happened?' moments. Batrider's a bit unpredictable, because I was half expecting another boss to show up, but it turned out I hadn't triggered the special criteria to get the extra boss. I died, thought 'Well, that was close', then looked at my score and realised I'd earned another life, and just when I was thinking 'OK, now what?' the credits started rolling!
