What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

:? : You know how I was saying earlier that my Walmart had ZoE: HD, but not the LE? It turns out that upon further inspection, not only do they not have the LE they only carry the 360 version. A Kojima game, only available on Xbox. What the heck.

My $0.02 on the dating discussion: I've never tried to get a girlfriend, and I never ended up "catching" something without trying. All's I've ever gotten is people looking at me funny for not attempting to have significant other.

I think that for most guys, unless you're really good looking you'll have to make an effort to get a girl. Most girls would rather that you go after them, as opposed to the other way around. And that's why I don't have one: I can't stand the asking someone out, the flirting, the innuendo, and of course the polite lying. Just not for me.

Smile: Had a nice weekend dedicated to gaming - my brother in law, good buddy Chip and sevin0seven were over all day / night on Friday for some 4p action.

Saturday was my 3 oldest kids, sevin0seven and jmbarnes101 for some shmup and fighting tournaments, followed by some 4p racing games.

Then the 3 of us racket-folk played through Knights of Valour 2: The Nine Kingdoms, and it took every bit of 3 hours of non-stop button mashing and learning to play with each other to get through it. It was a combined 39 credits between the 3 of us, which is actually pretty decent - there were 9 levels, each with 3-5 sections and at least 2 bosses per level, and a few w/3 bosses. Posted a short vid on my gameroom thread for anyone interested.

Ticked: Weekend flew by - way too fast, gonna have to be at least 4 full days next time

Smile/frown/adrenaline surge:

I say the most absurd things when I'm fuming. Today I channeled my inner Brodie (somewhat) and words came out of my mouth that may have never been said before.

I'm at an intersection during my lunch break, near campus where there is "NO RIGHT TURN ON RED" sign. There is a left turn lane, and a straight/right lane. First of all, I was going straight, second of all the light was red.

Some chubby loss of a life in a black Tundra with his window down and wanted to turn right(I'm assuming he wanted to turn right, no signal) shouted "GO!". Then he blared his horn and shouted again in a conniption.

I lower my window, look back and shout "Can you not FUCKING see the light is RED!?!". To which he responded, "Do you not know how to fucking drive!?!". This all happened within fifteen, maybe twenty seconds but I had had enough.

Recklessly I get out of my car, point at the NO RIGHT TURN ON RED, and ask "Can you not fucking read?". The response was "Fuck you".

That's when I got upset. "Get out of the car you fat fuck. You think because I'm wearing an argyle sweater I won't start some shit?".

He lead footed around me, his face as red as an apple. A fat apple.

I really need to start letting these little things slide. At the same time, it was pretty hilarious.

Don't make Luke angry.

You wouldn't like Luke when he's angry.

And don't touch him unless you want Luke-colored paint to rub off on you.

Darn Tootin.

Some people will never admit that they're wrong. Drives me insane. Learn from your mistakes, that's why they are called mistakes. But most of the assholes I've encountered are just like every person ticketed on Parking Wars. They just can't say "I'm wrong, my bad".

I used to fly off the handle like that in response to aggressive drivers...but I have calmed down in my old age (i.e., my thirties). Today, my standard response in that situation is to position my rear view mirror so that I have clear view of the driver behind me and simply sit through the next green light (perhaps longer if they are really bad). When I eventually pull through the intersection, I drive very, very slowly and in a way that will not permit them to pass. The other drivers' reactions are usually pretty funny, and if they try to "communicate" with me when they pass, I put this big, idio grin on my face and wave like a moron. They always leave mad, and I always leave laughing...which is the best outcome.

(Sure, many of them likely deserve to have their asses-kicked, but I just cannot be bothered with it anymore. Besides, people that drive like that have usually had their asses kicked by life anyway, and there really is no need to pile it on...)

I stare at people like that right in their eyes in my rear view mirror with a "Make my day" face.
