Good third party SNES controller

Does such a thing exist? I have awful luck when it comes to finding non broken controllers. My current one has triggers that stop working randomly (and I mean absolutely randomly, it can work ten times and then not work for another ten times, and yes I tried cleaning the contacts and everything).

Is there a decent third party one at all that's not super expensive?

I like the SN ProPad...

Pro: Very sturdy. You won't break those L and R buttons...

Con: Short cable...

I told you, I can't find an official controller that doesn't have broken triggers. I've tried two now with the same problem, they just stop working randomly when playing something like F-Zero. I'm making hard turns just fine and then suddenly I can't and crash into the wall.

Look harder. You've only tried two you said. PLENTY of places online sell legit (not knock-off, which I wonder if you are unknowingly using) controllers. Even if yours are broken, why don't you fix them? All you need is a screwdriver and a strong adhesive meant for plastics. The first-party controllers are built sturdier than most other pads.

Im going to have to backup the Ascii Pad, i have 2 and it's the only controller ive ever really played SNES with, very sturdy, and feels like the original.

I can't even count the number of official controllers I broke the shoulder buttons on...

In my case Street Fighter II was the biggest culprit.

Those buttons were far too long and did not have enough support inside to resist a good button mashing. Once the plastic broke near the hinges, the buttons still worked most of the time, but they just didn't feel right anymore...

The SN ProPad had a different system for the L / R buttons. As far as I can remember they pushed more straight down, and they had some sort of spring system in them...

No idea what system the ASCII pads used though...

Lol I'm not using knock off SNES controllers, I'm not that dumb. They have the printed logo on the front.

And I've tried fixing them, the problem is something to do with either the rubber components or the electrical connections themselves (which I've already scrubbed with an eraser and cleaned with alcohol). The triggers literally just stop working at random. Every other button is fine.

It makes me wonder if it's somehow a system problem.
