you guys really think you will complete your 200 games catalogue? If each game takes 10 hours to beat(very short time) then it will take you 83 days of non sleep or about 2 years of 3 hrs faily dosage.

I am sorry I made it sound like work :lol: but its really long
I've slowed down a lot in my games buying as I own most of what I want, and I don't plan on dying any time soon soooooo....

You can easily put 200+ hours into Fallout and Jagged Alliance 2 (buy this if you already didn't) alone. 32 dollars for enough quality games to keep you entertained for thousands (if not tens of thousands) of hours? Not a bad deal :)
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

@Frag Mortuus

I know what you mean, when you see 10 games worth $150 its really hard to stop yourself from buying the lot for $30. And those pay what you want stuff, I am not sure why do they do this. I got torch light + other games I dont care for , for about $0.1 or $1 I forgot. Torchlight usually is $15 !!

@Menegrothx
damn 200 hours?, I thought of playing the 2 fallouts...I guess I'll keep fallout 2 in my wish list for the future, since its probably the better updated version

You can speed run the games with a walkthrough in a very short time. If you take your time to explore the world and try different kinds of characters, then you can sink a lot of time into that game. Playing the games with out a guide from start to finish takes anywhere from 20-40 to 60+ hours, depending on how much you like to explore and so on.

Fallout 1 speed run in 9 minutes and 19 seconds
This is a great example of what I said in the "games you have played over 100 times" thread about the difference between linear and nonlinear games when it comes to replaying them. In many linear (j)rpgs when you restart the game you'll have to go through some intro cutscene or dialogue that takes as much time as it takes to play Fallout 1 to start to finish if you speed run it like that guy. I'm quite sure you can't even speed run Sonic 1 or 2 in that time!

Fallout 2 is definitely better than Fallout 1, but if you can buy 1 for a dollar or two, there's no reason to skip it.

Wow!? 9 minutes?
damn....I will buy it just to test out that speed run :lol:
I never knew you can complete a game so quickly...I thought the fastest you can is 20-30min. It is funny because the developer probably worked like years on this and you completed it in 9 min.

I'll keep fallout 2 in mind

I don't really understand the point of a backlog, especially such an extensive one. Sure there are games I'd like to play and eventually I'll get around to them but it seems like a lot of people act like their backlog is a chore and/or stressful. I don't have an official list, and I certainly don't fret or worry about which games I'll have time to play or not play.

You people think too much. :shock:

Para, an extensive backlog can be created with $50 and a steam sale. Or having a job where you travel alot so you get to hit up more stores for deals with less time to play.

@Para

I have backlog because I forgot the games I would like to play. You read so much and discuss so many games, that you get that there is a an rpg on the Saturn , that you can find as a download on Steam that you wanted to play.

Now if you want to play 1 game that is not a problem but when there are 30 games or 40 you start forgetting. I for one got around 10 game for the Gamecube alone, that is not to mention games I have already played.
