And the same goes for Snatcher. In fact, the Sega CD version is the only one you can play in English IIRC.

I think Turbo CD edges out Sega CD because Turbo CD has all those great Falcom titles (Ys I/II/III/IV, Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes, Legend of Xanadu, Legend of Xanadu II, and Popful Mail).

That being said, if I had to actually pick either SNES or Genesis, it would totally be SNES. Mainly because pretty much all of the good Genesis games are available on compilations for new systems.

I know this is a troll thread, but I like the Genesis more personally. I prefer more of the action elements as opposed to the bells and whistles of a lot of the SNES games. Ironically, I find a lot of the SNES best games not to be made by Nintendo, which is an odd thing to say about a Nintendo system. I thought Nintendo made better games during the NES era than the SNES era.

Never got around to giving the PC-Engine a try. Played Bomberman 94 at a friends house, that's about it.

Virtual Console is significantly more expesive (and tied to particular hardware) than stuff like this or this.

$10-20 for collections of 40 or so games. Plus the various Sonic collections over the years, and other, smaller collections like the one on the PSP.

Nintendo has done things like that occasionally, like the Zelda promo discs, or the Kirby anniversary release, but they don't make quite as much of a habit of it as Sega has.

Either way, I don't really see the difference. It doesn't take any more effort to get an SNES game than a Genesis game. I've played just about every SNES game there is with out owning one just due to emulation

Not really. We've had Super Mario All Stars, Kirby's 20th Anniversary, Zelda Collector's Disc, and Mega Man X Collection. All of which only have a few SNES games on there with games from other systems.

But in comparison we've see Sega Smash Pack, Sega Genesis Collection, Sonic Mega Collection Plus, Sonic Gems Collection, and Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection. All of which have a large number Genesis games on them.

Sega's mostly re-released their entire Sega Genesis first-party library. While Nintendo has a long ways to go still (Star Fox, Donkey Kong Country 1-3, Super Mario Kart, F-Zero, Super Mario RPG, Super Punch-Out, etc.).
