I bought an AES just for NAM 1975.
Yeah, I know.
Ever buy a console for just ONE (or two) games?

I originally bought a Wii for Super Smash Bros. Picked up and played a few for it since then.

Not a console, but I own a Playstation Move just for Child of Eden.

I bought a 3DS just for Megaman Legends 3. Still waiting for a killer game. Haven't really touched it despite getting all the good DLC and a handfull of good looking games.
Last year I bought a disposable laptop because the one I brought with me to work couldn't play Terraria which I'd just found out about.
Back in the day I bought a PS1 for Final Fantasy VII. That was the best decision out of the 3 since I still play that PS1.

I bought an N64 back in '99 for Wrestlemania 2000 and it was totally worth it. I eventually got WCW/NWO Revenge and WWF No Mercy. I never cared for anything on the system but the wrestling games.
I also bought a Dreamcast almost exclusively for NBA 2K1 back in 2000, which again, was worth it. There were a lot of other solid games for the system but NBA 2K1 was the defining experience for me on that system.
I admittedly do not play either system much, even though I still play my older consoles from time to time. I don't know that I would ever buy another system again for just one game.

I have a WonderSwan Color, but FF II is the only game I own for it.Tildius Maximus wrote:I bought a wonderswan color for rockman ws and a few squaresoft titles (final fantasy) ><

I own a regular WonderSwan, but no games for it. I know it works though because when I try to boot up FF II I get an error message in Japanese.

Been meaning to pick this up myself. Any good?BoneSnapDeez wrote: I got a 3DO last December specifically to play Guardian War. It's still the only game I own for the console.
As for the thread topic, yes and no. Certainly one game has often been the deciding factor in acquiring a few consoles, but actually, I don't think I've actually bought a console that I didn't want a good number of games for. Some of the 'deciding factor' games are ones I've still never actually acquired, such as Steel Batallion and Zelda CDi.
