Hobbies other than gaming?
I know that this topic has been created before, but what hobbies do you all have other than gaming?
I'm into cars. I drive a 2010 Mazdaspeed 3, no mods yet, but I will eventually.
I like to build stuff. I recently built a DVD rack and hope to tackle a custom TV stand soon. My step dad is an excellent wood worker so I have a pro on stand by to help me.
I rollerblade. More specifically, Aggressive Inline Skate. I was around for the beginning of the sport in the mid-90s and quit for about 15 years. This past summer I bought a new pair of skates and have spent the last few months getting used to riding them again. I hope to get back to being good at some point, lol.
I'm really into home theater as well. I used to put a lot of money into all my equipment. But, that was when my wife and I both had really well paying jobs, no bills, and no kids. Now, my wife is a full time mom and college student, we have a ton of bills, and a toddler and a baby on the way lol.
So what about you guys?

I think papercraft is really cool. I have always wanted to get into it. I just never have had the time. You should post some pics of your models

I read stuff on the internet. Anything that grabs my attention, I'm not particular. I also enjoy reading comic books (primarily humorous ones), watching TV (mostly cartoons), watching movies, cooking, and shopping around for bargains on things pertaining to my other interests.

Awesome thread.
I like guns, so I go to the shooting range from time to time.
Also into comics, though I've pared down what I buy each month to save money. I only follow about 4 books.
I collect Transformers, but as I've stated before I collect only the ones that interest me. (E.G. no beast wars - loved the show, toys sucked)
I work on my arcade cabs from time to time.

I am into cars. I have a 68 mustang and drive a 2010 roush 540RH mustang. Incoming baby has slowed my progress on restoring the 68.
I read as well; mostly sticking to fantasy/scifi
I play magic the gathering. My level of competitiveness fluctuates from month to month.
I also enjoy some board gaming from time to time.
I love to fish but it has been a few years, I need to fix that...
I am also a sports fan, primarily football. I watch several games every week amd follow the sport closely. NFL Sunday Ticket is awesome.

Re: Hobbies other than gaming?
My main hobby other than gaming is reading, and because of my reading Ive gotten back into gardening and starting next year will hopefully have an aquaponic system setup. I also dabble in all facets of filmmaking, from foley to acting to cinematography to editing, and have done it on and off professionally for about 15 years. Same with photography.
I am forever a tinker and love to take things apart and fix them if they are broken - except cars, anything where if I screw up can kill me I dont trust myself with the majority of.
*since the topic titles was gaming I imagined it includes all types of gaming, including board, rpg, and card. I love playing card games, specifically Spades, Hearts, and President, and my boardgame collection only grows...

I do the same thing. I'll get a question in my head like "I wonder where the term "Cops" comes from". So I'll Google it. Then, that will start me on a vicious cycle of going from link to link reading various useless stuff

You know, I've only shot a gun once in my life. I know that it can be a really expensive hobby. Ammunition can get costly.

I know what you mean about the family. I don't play as much as I'd like, but my daughter really enjoys the SNES, so we have been playing a lot of Donkey Kong Country.

Re: Hobbies other than gaming?
Gaming's my main hobby, but, cars are right behind it. I love your MazdaSpeed, used to drive one myself (it was my dad's though). Ended up buying myself a 10th Anniversary Edition Miata after saving for a few years.
I also collect records. That's a slow hobby though. I probably only collect a few a month. Whenever I do though, I sit down and listen through the whole album when I get home.
I'd like to get some album posters. I have some very scratched up albums with really nice sleeves and they'd probably be best served as hanging artwork now.

Older. Not wiser.
