Re: What are you playing?
I'm hoping to get my hands on Code of Princess and Retro City Rampage this Tuesday, budget permitting. Bouncing back and forth between random games until then. I've got Tokyo Jungle, Fez, Tempura of the Dead and Double Dragon Neon to keep me busy

Played Sherlock Holmes on the Sega CD last night. I haven't played it in so long, so the mysteries are almost brand new to me.
Yes, the fmv isn't the best, but the game does make you think and take notes, which I enjoy. Sherlock also does a great job of making you feel like you are solving an actual mystery. So if you don't mind loading times, have an hour or two and really like using your noggin, check Sherlock on the Sega CD out.

Been playing a healthy amount of Dark Souls. Waiting for a friend to catch up so we can do a boss together.
Also been playing quite a bit of the PlanetSide 2 beta. It runs like absolute shit right now, but the game is incredibly fun and engaging. Getting in with a squad that has it's shit together and making a push on a battlefield with over 100 other people involved is really something to see. All the tanks, aircraft dogfights going on up above, and the infantry ducking in and out of cover in the landscape. It's just really awesome.
Older. Not wiser.

I haven't played it since the SCD launch. Do you still have the fake newspaper that came with it?Luke wrote:Played Sherlock Holmes on the Sega CD last night. I haven't played it in so long, so the mysteries are almost brand new to me.

Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Sure do. Unfortunately I highlighted and underlined certain parts when I was a teenager and never took proper care of it. I'd love to get Volume II, but the copies on Amazon are less than desirable.noiseredux wrote: I haven't played it since the SCD launch. Do you still have the fake newspaper that came with it?

Re: What are you playing?
I am currently playing through some great SNES games for the month of October. I was on a 360 roll for a while, so it feels great to be playing some legendary retro games again.
E.V.O. The Search for Eden (SNES) LOVE IT!
Chrono Trigger (SNES) LOVE IT A TON!
Cool Spot (SNES) Iffy on this one...
Spike McFang (SNES) Pretty fun and quirky.

These Sherlock Holmes FMV games also just saw a re-release on PC with improved FMV and graphics from the Sega CD version:Luke wrote:Played Sherlock Holmes on the Sega CD last night. I haven't played it in so long, so the mysteries are almost brand new to me.

Note that the boardgame it's based on just got recently reprinted! I might get it if I see it for cheap.
