How long has the house been on the market?

You really can't say that the house is worth $30K more than the listing price. The true value is what people are willing to pay for it.

House has been on the market since last Tuesday as a short sale. It was listed on the market earlier this year at 30k higher. Its right in the middle of the price range for the neighborhood, and on the lower end for the part of the neighborhood it is in - mostly because it is on one acre and not two.

Smile: I think I already mentioned my Parents gave me their entire record collection, which consists of hundreds of LP's. I didn't want to move my wheels of steel, so I picked up a NuMark turntable.

The sound is incredible. I'm in music heaven. I can't remember the last time I just sat down to appreciate music at home. I'm always multi-tasking, and just listening to music, and not using it as a distraction is one of the best things I've done in a while.

Luke there is a record I think you would really enjoy:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/GROUCHO-MARX-AN ... 3a7a70eae6

Its available for free as mp3s, but I really need to buy the vinyl and get a new turntable.

If you have any classic rock albums you want to get rid of, I'm your guy. :P

So it was on the market for awhile for $30K more but nobody bought it. So the house is definitely not undervalued.

With a short sale, besides getting the owner to agree on the price, you still have to get bank to approve. There's no guarantee and they could take awhile to get back to you, stall, or just wait for a better bid.

In any case, I hope it goes well for you and that the house/neighborhood is everything you want.

Thanks man. Just bought if off Amazon for $6.00! Can't wait to sit down with a cigar and give it a listen. I have a ton of Cheech Y Chong, some Bill Cosby LP's and a Carlin album, but to me you cannot beat Groucho.

Sorry, but no way Jose!

I have about every Zeppelin, Beatles, Billy Joel, Chicago, Eagles...ah hell, just about every classic rock album now.

I may get rid of the Eagles stuff tough. If I do get rid of classic rock, you called dibbs, so you got it. Don't hold your breath though.

Can't wait to listen to Kraftwerk and Dick Hyman tonight. Also looking forward to listening to some old jazz LP's. The sound of jazz on a record makes CD's sound like junk.

I can't recommend NuMark enough for casual listening. Has a USB port if you'd like to transfer your records, which I will do for back up purposes only.

I'm thrilled to the gills, guys. It's just as if a friend said, "I've got three huge boxes of old video games that are taking up too much room. You can have it if you want, but it's got some weird stuff like "Super Metroid" that you might not want".

Frown:

Fucking morons at Wal*Mart. Not only am I going to have to take another trip, my Niece's 1 year old birthday present will come late (not that she cares or will even know, but I like to ya know, do shit on time).

The carousal thing fails all the time as the cashiers aren't smart enough to scan and bag. Too much responsibility. Shame on me for not checking twice, as this seems to always happen, but while in a rush during lunch break I suspended my disbelief that someone could check the bags before handing me my receipt. Another reminder to go to Target next time.
