The Blob

The last enemy I've encountered was the 1988 The Blob remake, which was foul and nasty and highly corrosive to the touch  Ticks all the right boxes, what more was there to expect?
I love the 88 Blob! Shawnee Smith is awesome... why isn't this is in the October Spooktacular thread, guy?

Pascal Laugier's Martyrs was a fluke. The Tall Man is the latest proof.

Just got out of Taken 2. I totally agree with Luke that they want this to be a series. And I was thinking about it, and I think I know why this feels like a weaker entry than the first one. The scope of the movie is much smaller. I don't think they could have made it bigger without making the whole thing feel artificially inflated, though.
"Dad, don't shoot this one, I like him."

Ah hahahaha! We can all share a friendly laugh together! It's funny, because he just killed 20 people. Maybe Taken 3 will be the boyfriend gets taken and Kim makes Brian get him back, and when he does the boyfriend has a flashback to that moment and realizes just how much trouble he's in for dating Brian's daughter.

What blows is that TAKEN was so good and actually fun (given the subject matter that is). TAKEN 2 isn't well directed and the action is sloppy and shaky. Again, it isn't a bad movie, it's just going in a different direction.

Watched Marvel's The Avengers with my parents last night. The detail on Blu-Ray is ah-may-zun. Twenty minutes in my Father sarcastically said, "You know what this movie needs? More action".

The Thor punch and ragdolling scene got a HUGE laugh out of both of my parents, which isn't usual. As my Father came down for coffee this morning he said "Let's watch the Avengers again". He was joking, but he said both he and Mom want to pick up the movie as they really enjoyed it. Only complaint, "That's a lot of movie" referring to the running time.

Tonight RAID THE REDEMPTION again. Maybe my favorite movie of the year.
