Smile: Parents are visiting for the weekend. Life is crazy, and you never know when you might lose someone so I cherish the time I do have with them.

Throwing them an Oktoberfest sausage party (it's intentional people) with bratwurst, knockwurst, mettwurst, homemade sauerkraut, potato salad, pretzels, and gingersnap ice cream. There will be accordions. There will be polka. There will be plenty of Spaten beer.

Frown: This also means stocking the fridge for them with stuff my wife and I don't eat and drink such as diet soda, garden burgers...

:D I unexpectedly added three new, complete long box PS1 games to my collection yesterday (Bust-a-Move 2, Return Fire, and Street Fighter: The Movie).

:D My parents were watching our children; so, my wife and I went on a great date last night. Value Village ----> new (and quite good) Ethiopian restaurant ----> new brew pub for after dinner drinks.

:( My wife is selling at a local antique show all weekend; so, I will be missing her (and watching our children all by myself) both Saturday and Sunday...

RB members, please no "Ethiopian restaurant" jokes unless they are super clever.

What does your wife sell? If she sells any Rosewood pottery or Carnival glass from the 1920's you might have a buyer right here.

:x Landlord finally showed up to look at why rain was coming through my roof a few days ago says he will be back this weekend if he can't figure out why it leaked from the outside he is gonna rip a chunk out of my ceiling. Wtf it is suposed to rain again this weekend. I told him i can get a roofer to look at it for FREE (foxhounds dad) but no a guy that roofed for 20+ yrs is not good enough
 The landlord then tells donnie it is not ok for my dog to come hang out here more than a hour a week cause he might destory the house and his new carpet.
When not more than a month ago he said hershey could hang out here but not sleep over. To be clear my dog is not even 15lbs of couch potato who would explode before he pottys in the house. I told donnie i am through with this shit if the landlord won't evict the upstairs people for there desctruction of my stuff then i don't care if i get evicted for haveing my pup here cause we can always move into our new house before we get done remodeling it. We pay our bills on time and don't bother anybody and our apt is always spotless but can have nothing, yet the landlord seems to cater to the trash upstairs who destroy my things, scream and holler all the time, smoking against the lease and hiding there cat in there apt. It takes a full month for him to get rent from these ppl and half the time there check bounces.

My wife loves arts-and-crafts era pottery (and furntiure) the way that I love games (i.e., she is constantly running out of space to store her collection, posts regularly on art pottery and furniture forums, etc.) Although she has a significant collection of North Carolina pottery (North Carolina indianware is her current obsession), she mostly buys and sells antique Rookwood, Van Briggle, Teco, Grueby, Ephraim, etc. We run into Rosewood pottery quite often, however; so, if we see any really good deals, I will let her know that she has a potential buyer.

Rosewood vases circa 1900-1910 is what I'm interested in. Thanks man!

Well, technically we're leaving tomorrow to stay at a hotel near the airport for the night, then leaving on Saturday, because it was unanimously agreed that no one felt like getting up at 2am in order to catch the flight at 6am.
If you are not diver certified, try SNUBA. Even my ten your old son at the time got to stay under water for an hour swimming with the fish and turtles. Be sure to go on a small 10-15 person boat to avoid the crowds.

Thanks. We've got a bunch of potential stuff planned, so I don't know what we'll have time for, but that sounds like fun and I'll keep that in mind.

Well, we're leaving in a couple of hours, so if I can't find some free wifi, I'll see you in two weeks racketeers!
