Getting a Neo Geo CD and MVS-to-AES converter are more pressing matters.
Nothing at launch excites me too much, though the Mario game is probably pretty cool.
And for the record, I think the Wii game library is VASTLY superior to PS3/Xbox 360. I anticipate Wii U will have better games than whatever ends up on Xbox 73485634/PS Fore.

Oh, just personal opinion. To me it seemed like Wii ended up with some fantastic old-school straightforward games, while the 360/PS3 library is full of glossy, AAA stuff.n3wh4x0r wrote:What makes you say that?BoneSnapDeez wrote:And for the record, I think the Wii game library is VASTLY superior to PS3/Xbox 360. I also think Wii had some of the best 7th gen JRPGs - Opoona, Tales of Symphonia 2, Last Story, etc...
Haha, I dunno man... I have to admit I'm almost more of a console collector than game collector - I like cool obscure hardware.Breetai wrote: Why on earth would you make getting a Neo Geo CD a priority if you can already play MVS games?

I can say this ... if you tack "that I haven't played" on there after Wii.sevin0seven wrote:no worries, i also have more Wii games than 360/PS3 combined.equalsign wrote:I know that the Wii's library appeals to me more than the PS3 and 360 stuff. I'm in the same exact boat, except that I have 31 Wii titles. I still have a lot to buy too. A vastly underrated console.equalsign wrote:I know that the Wii's library appeals to me more than the PS3 and 360 stuff. I have 20-25 retail Wii games. I only have 2 retail PS3 games.

You're spot on with that bit about the Wii library, and that's definitely where I get my "old-school gaming" fix! =DBoneSnapDeez wrote:Oh, just personal opinion. I'm not one to think that graphics make a game, but I don't think the 360/PS3 library can be summed up as "glossy, AAA stuff" either. There are some pretty great titles in their libraries (depending on your tastes of course). Some of the best ones were long-running franchises too (though not as long as Nintendo's, obviously) whose first iterations were not "glossy, AAA stuff."
High def graphics don't make a game, by any means, but a great game that has high def graphics? That's just icing on the cake. The Wii U IS going to be a high-def console, after all.
I have to agree with you there. The 360/PS3 scene was nearly devoid of good RPGs. =/BoneSnapDeez wrote:I also think Wii had some of the best 7th gen JRPGs - Opoona, Tales of Symphonia 2, Last Story, etc...
