What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Smile: had some free time open up today that will allow me to get some work done on an article that I've been procrastinating on, get a jump on planning for the the week ahead, replace the mower deck belt, and generally get some shit done.

Frown: none of those things are Borderlands 2.

The NFL is becoming more and more like the NBA with each passing season. Protecting and giving all stars breaks has eclipsed the integrity of the game. Referees are costing teams games, and the NFL has the audacity to tell coaches not to be upset.

It makes the game not fun to watch. Consider a game winning touchdown from the Eagles that should never have happened. Consider after said touchdown no call for a team celebration in the end zone. Consider Coaches getting ripped because they have an "L" on their record due to only bad officiating and the NFL doesn't want the coaches to speak their opinion.

As of now their needs to be a stronger voice for the NFLCA (if it exists, and it should if it doesn't) and not the NFLPA.

If this weekends games play out like lasts, I'll keep up with my pick'em leagues, but won't be watching any more games until the NFL has professional referees.

The human element always plays a role in every game, but the situation with the refs in the NFL isn't worth my frustration.

the nfl doesn't care cause you know what? people will still watch, and they're right. if anything more people will tune in to see if a train wreck occurs with these refs. as a cowboys fan this pissed me off. sean lee gets de-cleated by golden tate launching and helmet to helmet and that's ok, but on the tail end of that play they get flagged for pushing russell wilson out of bounds with one foot in. wtf

Smile:

Washed my car, and got (most of) the stain on the passenger seat out

Laptop I bought for school came. 2 1/2 year old ThinkPad T400s... but it appears to never have been used, even still smells like new ThinkPad. Has almost a year left on warranty too. Not a bad 400 bucks spent.

Ordered an MSI AMD 7950. Looking forward to the upgrade.

It also rains in France. Duh.

But as with the NHL, people who think are starting to care. NFL isn't going anywhere soon, but a drop in the bucket has been placed.

:x The first guy that comes to my yard sale friday looks at one game and yells this is not a yard sale your a dealer i politely told him it was a yard sale he scurried back to his truck and left. The irony of this whole story he actually is a dealer i ran into him at a yard sale early this summer cause the lady posted games when i asked about thim he screamed at me that he already bought them.

:D I went to the area flea markets yesterday and ran into some old freinds.
I also stopped into D&Dgameworld The owner showed me a sealed dragonwarrior for 150. trying to impress me it was a resealed game. I looked around and he was asking 35.for ff8 and 60. for a oxbox. . The best part of that whole visit a kid came in saying he wanted to get into beta testing and this smuck say he can make it happen cause he knows the president of ea games  This is the same person who told me he invented the gameboy sp. I don't think this place will be open much longer when the owner has to ask his dad for money to buy a super scope for 20.00 from someone cause they won't accept his credit.

Astoundingly, I find places like that stick around far, far longer than you'd expect them to.
