Really? Even though it is my least used system of this past gen, I've still found 50ish games that are worth picking up and at least another 10-15 that I'd like to at some point. Take a look here and tell me there are really only 20 games that interest you on the Wii...http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... =28&t=9557Xeogred wrote:There's maybe like ~20 Wii games I want to get and would be happy

I CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!
There really is probably a lot of Wii titles I need to play. It's just funny I only see crap games in stores, guess you have to get the good online.
Also Nintendo is gonna destroy my wallet with how expensive they keep their first party games.

I really liked the Wii. The “hardcore games” were lacking, as many point out. But there are still plenty of Wii games out there worth owning. I'm pretty sure I can come up with more than 20 must-have Wii games, IMO:
1. Bit Trip Beat
2. Bit Trip Core
3. Bit Trip Runner
4. Cave Story
5. Donkey Kong Country Returns
6. Epic Mickey
7. House of the Dead 2 & 3
8. Kirby's Epic Yarn
9. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
10. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
11. Mario Kart Wii
12. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
13. Metroid: Other M
14. New Super Mario Bros. Wii
15. Punch-Out!!
16. Rayman Origins
17. Red Steel
18. Red Steel II
19. Resident Evil (Remake)
20. Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles
21. Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles
22. Rygar: Battle of Argus (yeah, it's a port of an early PS2 game, but I really liked that game)
23. Sonic Generations
24. Super Mario Galaxy
25. Super Mario Galaxy 2
26. Super Paper Mario
27. Super Smash Bros.: Brawl
28. Wii Play
29. Wii Sport
30. Wii Sports Resort

Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
This used to be very true for me, but strangely my local big retailer only stocks quality Wii software now (murasama, xenoblade, last story, harvest moon, no more heroes, all nintendo first party titles, ivi the kiwi, conduit 2 and in general every QUALITY game released on the Wii. I think the only casual stuff I see are the Mario and Sonic games). It's a good sign about the management of the retail chain I guess, but it if this was enforced globally the Wii would have gotten a much better reputation imo.Xeogred wrote: There really is probably a lot of Wii titles I need to play. Also RE Umbrella and Darkside Chronicles?dsheinem wrote:these are the remaining exclusives. not sure Wii Play is a must-haveBurningDoom wrote:I really liked the Wii. That's a solid list. And the funny thing is that you only named big name, obvious choices. The Wii has more random gold nuggets than any system I have ever played. I am hoping for more of the same with the WiiU.BurningDoom wrote:I really liked the Wii. The “hardcore games” were lacking, as many point out. *big list*
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
This is a pretty good point. My local Walmart and Target's selections are awful. Best Buy is okay and I imagine Gamestop is fine, but I never touch them. lol, so yeah...ZeroAX wrote:This used to be very true for me, but strangely my local big retailer only stocks quality Wii software now (murasama, xenoblade, last story, harvest moon, no more heroes, all nintendo first party titles, ivi the kiwi, conduit 2 and in general every QUALITY game released on the Wii. But yeah I'll probably just have to collect games for it off amazon or something. Which I guess is what I mainly do thesedays anyways, lol.
