Don't let it turn you off from the rest of the console!
I absolutely love PS1 games, but I really had a rough time with Tomb Raider. There's some really cool ideas in it, but the controls are seriously horrendous. I'd recommend Crash Bandicoot 2 to get you on the right track enjoying the Playstation.

The game itself is still fun even after the years, you just have to have patience when it comes to the controls is all.AppleQueso wrote:Oh man, that game has not aged too well at all.Pichu wrote: However I ordered Tomb Raider off Amazon for about $6 so I'm looking foward to when that gets here.

I got my Atari 2600s signed by Bob Brown, one of the engineers who worked on it and the creator of the prototype of the first home version of Pong.
It's not the coolest looking signature ever but now my Ataris are quite unique.

Even though this should go in the missed deals thread, I saw Drill Dozer for the Gba sealed for 2.49$. My younger self thought that Drill Dozer looked like a stupid game. I didnt buy it. Also, should I buy Drill Dozer cib for 11?

It's worth it. You used to be able to find it sealed for $5 all over the place, but I'd say it's still worth getting for $10.someone3760 wrote:Even though this should go in the missed deals thread, I saw Drill Dozer for the Gba sealed for 2.49$. It's not a bad little game at all.

It used to be $3 on amazon, as well. Definitely a neat title.

Haha I don't mind, plus I already have a list of games I want for thr system so it doesn't matter if TR is a bust.AppleQueso wrote:Oh man, that game has not aged too well at all.Pichu wrote: However I ordered Tomb Raider off Amazon for about $6 so I'm looking foward to when that gets here.

Nice, I've never actually held a model 2. I had a lynx when I was younger, but got rid of it. It's probably one of the things I sold so I could buy a dreamcast when that came out. Glad to have one again.Breetai wrote:I also just got my first Lynx a few weeks ago.skate323k137 wrote:A co-worker gave (yes, gave) me a first gen lynx today. Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Just wanted to share a recent find I had yesterday...not super cool, but was excited none the less. Picked up a N64 Funtastic system complete in box with manuals for $24.99. I frequent a used CD/DVD store near my house, they also sell old video games. They have a set price from N64 consoles, doesn't matter if it is in the box or not...they only charge $24.99. I saw this one sitting on the floor behind the counter and asked about it, it had just arrived. They seem to have no idea that boxed games and systems are worth double or triple what they sell them for...they sell boxed games for the "cart only" price...so I have found tons of great games complete this way.
