I love you.

HARVEY is my favorite movie of all time (at least today) but I don't know if I can call it a comedy. It's a comedy in the same sense AMERICAN MOVIE is basically a comedy, but it isn't.

Boo on anyone who thinks THE HANGOVER is even close to the top five best comedies of all time. It has a few moments, very few. There are episodes of "You bet your life" that are a thousand times funnier.

Eh, different strokes.

And consider me confused. MR. MOM, GUNG-HO, or BEETLEJUICE? What is Keaton's best comedy? And I swear if anyone says MULTIPLICITY I will...I'll...Well, I won't think highly of your opinion.

DUCK SOUP or A NIGHT AT THE OPERA are a given. SHREK is hilarious. THIS IS 40 may change people's lists as well.

Friday is easily my favorite comedy of all-time. I also really enjoy John Waters and Kevin Smith flicks.

idk, come to think of it there's really not very many comedies i've seen at all that I'd hold in extremely high regard or even consider an all-time favorite.

Clerks would be there, for sure. Princess Bride likely as well. I like Big Lebowski, but it doesn't resonate with me as well as those two do.

Would it be too much of a stretch to call Back to the Future a comedy?

Good recommendation! That's a great film with a stunning ending. Hard to go wrong with anything Sellers-related, but this is one of the best.

Oh hell yeah, right on to the real.

Which reminds me that THE PARTY should be on my list when I make it. Peter Sellers is a mostly forgotten treasure. I can see how some don't "get" his humor, but for a long time he was brilliant in everything.

When people mention Woody Allen, I always think of SMALL TIME CROOKS as being overlooked. It's definitely one of his funnier movies, and the tone is actually relaxing. It's hard for me to review or even watch Woody Allen movies knowing disturbing things about his past, but CROOKS is very innocent.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall
The Blues Brothers
Young Frankenstein
Monty Python and The Holy Grail
Napolean Dynamite
Ghostbusters

Love that movie, but the second act is like watching paint dry. Movie comes to a complete halt where the only funny gag is someone having to poop.

Oh man, take off Ghostbusters from mine and put on Blazing Saddles. How could I make that mistake.
