What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Oh for sure, but even the shit sandwich that wins the shit sandwich competition is still a shit sandwich.

Back on topic:

Watched LOTR Fellowship, director's cut disc one late last night. Last thing I remember seeing was Gandalf getting owned and spinning like a human top. Not that I don't enjoy the director's cut, but I feel as if I need to have an egg timer go off every fifteen minutes so I don't fall asleep.

Oh Hollywood.

Reboots, reboots, and reboots (and a reboot with a robot).

Thought the Spider-Man reboot came too early? Fantastic Four is on its way. Pretty sure I know why Marvel is doing this and I almost look forward to a FF reboot/mulligan/do-over (hopefully with an actual Galactus).

Now if Marvel/Disney can get the other rights back from Sony, we're going to have one hell of an Infinity Gauntlet movie.

I thought Fox was the one with the FF license?

I watched the first Resident Evil movie and it was meh. Then I watched another one, but I dont remember what part it was. Maybe 4 or 10. It was the one where at the beginning, Alice has multiple copies of herself (dafuq?) and then she loses them.

It was hilarious though. The best part was when they're on the roof of some building and some random douchenuts steals the plane they have there and takes off. He falls to the ground and just barely pulls up, and you see a swath of blood as he plows through the zombies. Funny stuff.

That was the fourth one. It's worth mentioning that while the films are incredibly stupid and cheesy (Just like the games IMHO), they are also extremely entertaining and Afterlife has one of the best 3D presentations I've ever seen and I'm definetely interested on seeing the new one this friday.

The first Resident Evil movie was a well made zombie flick with some intense moments. I enjoyed it immensely. But then all the ones after that got super-cheesy with Alice's super-powers and the weird creatures with sub-par make-up.

They still have it, for now. There is a lot of pay posturing going on with the studios and I could be really off here but the conversations between FOX and Disney and basically been:

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah!"

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah!"

"We'll see"

...which leads me to believe Disney wants the rights, Fox doesn't but wants more than Disney is offering. I think FOX wants to make a "good" FF movie to bump up the rights and try to put Disney in a corner. But...No one puts Disney in a corner.

You and me at the flag pole after school.

Like whatever you like, but to call Resident Evil "well made" is just wrong.

The 4th. one IS well made, it haves one of the best action sequences I've seen in the last 10 years (The shower battle scene, which again, looks insane in 3D).
