 Great hike photos. I especially like the scale of the cave in the last picture. :)

Yes, definitely nice scenery. Glad that you're out enjoying the fresh air. Something that I tell my kids to do all the time. They seem to be content being indoors.

Excellent, I will have to check it out next time I am in town.

We usually stay there when we visit Zion Canyon.

How old are your kids?

My kids are becoming the same way and it's sad. We make a point to get them outside everyday the weather isn't a problem.

Sometimes they are resistant, but without fail, anytime we get them outside, they have fun and find things to do.

I remember as a kid, I started out playing outside all the time. Then when I was 8, my interest in videogames suddenly ramped up and my time spent outside went on a downward slope that didn't ease up until about a year ago. I'm still at my all-time lowest level. Even when I exercise I mostly do it indoors, and working nights like I do makes being outdoors inconvenient. It's just the way our modern society is; we increasingly have tons of inside entertainment while outside stuff has remained constant or even decreased.

You realize that you are asking your kids to go outside when you have a massive underground arcade lair for them to spend their time in, right? How can mother nature compete with the PGM1 collection and a Candy Cab?!

They're 12 & 9. I shouldn't have to twist their arms to be outside. I think if they were with their friends, they wouldn't mind it as much but we don't have any kids their age in our neighborhood.
